So? What's next

Sam's P.O.V The girl could somehow mind link me like I can with all other wolves. She told me it was something we would find out later. She told me her name was Raven. Raven came from a small village which was attacked by wolves. She was able to run away but she thinks most of the village is destroyed. I asked her if we could look if that was true but she told me that she would find it herself if she was better and that she would live a free life if there weren't any survivors. She was quickly recovering and wanted to leave as soon as possible, but I wouldn't let her. Alex and I would often visit her and bring her treats since she was afraid of the men in the base. I don't believe she told me the whole story since nothing she had said explains her fear for men. When I ask her about it she tells me she doesn't want to talk about her fear, that it is nothing and it's just a stupid fear. I didn't buy her excuses but didn't feel like pressuring her into telling me why. Alex somehow feels safe with me and Luca. When I wasn't with Raven, I would be with him. He told me about the Silent Howlers pack, yes that's the name Colin gave his pack. He could have thought of anything better but it was iconic. The Silent Howlers pack is apparently a bigger pack than anyone outside it imagined. Colin is breeding and makes she-wolves be pregnant all the time. If you find a way to disobey him, he will kill you. The death pit is only a small amount compared to the size of the pack itself. Alex's parents resisted because the didn't want twenty children. Their oldest son got killed in front of them and the whole pack, so with Alex involved. After they cried but still refused, Colin told them he would kill them and let Alex figure life out alone. They agreed but something went other than planned and Alex's mother didn't get pregnant. They were killed because of treason. They were thrown into the death pit and Alex went there to cry every day. He was only ten and had a younger sister, five. He couldn't look after her and she died not long after his parents were murdered. His sister was burned in a fire because Colin didn't have wood to throw in the fire that keeps his chamber warm. I now had to explain to Alex that I was a murderer, but only killed people like Colin, so I did. Alex and I sat at the shadow lake and were looking at the shadow mountains. "Alex?" I said to get his attention. "Yes?" He turned his head. I remember his sad, crying face when we found him. It wasn't fear we smelled that day, or at least, not only. He was full of grief but now he was happy. A happy puppy which we did. We gave him a home and made sure he was safe here. He slept with me like he was my pup, but I would see him as my brother. Jac also likes him a lot but doesn't think we should act like we are the kindest people in the world while we kill all the time. I agreed but wanted Alex to be happy. Now I had to tell him. "There is something I haven't told you yet, about me and Jac. I don't want to scare you but you have to know." I sighed deep and concentrated on what I had to say. "Jac and I are murderers. We kill and killed a lot of people." I said and I looked at Alex for his reaction. The good kid was waiting for me to explain myself and tell him why he shouldn't be afraid of me. "I kill alphas, like my old alpha and like Colin. Only bad alphas who treat their people bad." I said and he smiled. "I knew you weren't dangerous or bad. You are good." He said petting my head. "I must ask you something, because you are a good boy and I have to ask you. Will you allow me to kill Colin?" I asked, hoping for the best. "Well, I don't like killing. He did kill almost a quarter of our pack and is brain washing the young wolves so... He must be stopped. I wouldn't know an other way than locking him up or killing him. Since we don't have anywhere to lock him up it would be the last one." He said. "Jac and I will head out somewhere this week when Raven is feeling better. You will be with Luca for a while and you better be the good boy you always are." I said and he smiled. "You know me." He grinned. "Yes I do." I said. I jumped up, grabbed him with my jaws and ran with him into the lake, without hurting him. He had the best time of his life, but we had to go back. When we were back he helped placing the small twigs for the fire while I went to visit Raven. When I walked in she was sitting up and staring at the wall. "Is something wrong?" I asked her. "No, but I think I am healed and can leave this place." She mind linked looking into my eyes. "No problem, just be careful. And learn to trust men, they really aren't as bad as they sometimes seem." I said and a smile appeared on her face. "Don't worry about me. Worry about your people. They love you, they love their protectors. Luckily for them you love them back, but there could be times you have to leave them." She said and her smile disappeared. "My brother and I were actually just back. We leave really often but always keep in touch with the base. We came back two weeks ago from a long trip and a couple days ago from a short trip, they're used to us not being here." I said to reassure her. "I will sleep here tonight, if that's okay with you, and leave tomorrow morning." She said. "Yes, of course that's fine with me. The only reason why you should leave this place is if there would be a patient to treat." I told her with a smile, as far as a wolf could smile. "Oh, and if I'm gone tomorrow before you are awake, good luck with Colin. Defeat him and let those fearful wolves experience a free life." She said. I nodded. "I will." I said and I left her to be. Jac walked towards me. "When will we go after Colin?" He asked. "I told Alex about us killing bad alphas, he was fine with it actually, I was expecting a way different reaction but I'm sure I like this one more. He asked when we would leave for the attack and I told him that we would leave if Raven would feel better. She will leave tomorrow so we could leave anytime from tomorrow morning on." I told him and he thought. "How about we ask when the rouges want us to leave, maybe they want a little longer with us both but I'm guessing they want us to leave them the hell alone. Before you know we are asking them to make their cutlery." He laughed and I agreed. "Maybe we should let them make cutlery." I said and he began grinning. "We could just tell them as a joke." He grinned. "And lose their trust, nah." I said walking towards the fireplace. I laid down and Alex curled up against me. The night began and hunters came back. I ate raw rabbit while Alex looked at me disgusted. I laughed at his face but asked Luca to cook something for him since I couldn't. He took some rabbit and put it on the fire for him. "I have to tell you guys some of our planning." I said when I thought was the right time. They all looked at me. "Raven, the girl in the hut which has an explainable fright of men so most of you haven't or have barely seen her, has healed well and will leave tomorrow. Jac and I are soon leaving for Colin but aren't sure when to leave. Is it okay if we leave tomorrow and if everything goes according to plan, be back with victory in four days?" I said and everyone agreed. "Now, let's celebrate the night!" Luca yelled and we all cheered. The night began and ended as usual. I lifted sleeping Alex up by grabbing his clothes with my mouth and went to sleep next to the waterfall. Jac joined us and we slept like three siblings. I accept Alex in our little family but Alex also has Luca. I couldn't help but wonder about how that would go. For now I am happy to have Alex and not him still being in Colin's pack. I slept through the night and didn't notice Raven leaving in the middle of the night.
