Where am I?

1023 Words
Ruth's P.O.V I woke up filled with tinglings all over my body. I was sleeping, curled up, in my beautiful mate's wolf. His wolf was so cute and beautiful and then we had me, and my wolf. I didn't feel like showing him how I looked like in wolf form as long as I could hide it from him. I woke up and decided to look where I was, I remember falling asleep on Oliver's back and now we're here. I was circled by Oliver's big wolf and decided to lean on his side while searching the area. The first thing I saw were all the wolves and people sleeping on the ground around me. We weren't alone here but with a small pack. When I looked around me better I found one of the two big, black wolves sleeping on a rock. It was weird, he was really sleeping but yet his ears followed every sound around us. I looked for the other black wolf and found her next to a waterfall. Wow... They have a waterfall. I always loved waterfalls because of their beauty, power and sound. Water is beautiful in every possible way but I like it in this form a little better than in a glass to be honest. I saw the big open space was filled with wolves sleeping like Oliver and I did, or alone, or in a bigger group all keeping each other warm. I wanted to get up and decided it was time for Oliver to wake up too. I first whispered in his ear. "Oliver, wake up. The sun is up and we can go and eat." But he didn't wake up. I petted his head to say sorry for poking in his stomach, he just didn't know that part yet. When I poked in his stomach he did wake up, and a little mad too. "Did you have to do that?" He said grumpy and I nodded and made my smile as big as I could. "Want to know how to really wake him up?" I heard suddenly. Then I was a boy with black hair in shorts with a tattoo on his left upper arm. I had to admit, he was hot, but Oliver was better. "Take some water from the fall and throw it over his head. I used to do it and I'll tell ya, it really works." He said. Oliver sighted thinking back to the times he used to throw water over him. "Who are you?" I asked. "Ollie didn't talk about me?" He said looking at Oliver. "Did he have to?" I said. "I didn't know I was such a disappointment to you." The boy said. "I'm Luca. Ollie and I have been good mates ever since we could talk. We lived in the same pack when we were younger." Luca said. "What happened?" I asked but he kept silent and looked at the ground. "Maybe later." He said and he turned around and walked away. I turned to Oliver. "Are you gonna tell me what happened or what?" I mind linked him with my hands on my hips. "If you change for me." He said as he turned around and walked towards the lake. He went to the other side of where the wolf was sleeping and he began drinking. I sat down on my knees and started playing with the water with my hands. Soon, many other wolves joined us and the whole lake was filled with drinking wolves and people. I saw some wolves in human form, like Luca, who were also sitting on the ground and used their hands to scoop up water and drink it. I thought about the way the wolves lived around here, those two black wolves aren't really good leaders if they have to live like this, but the people look happy. I began drinking and saw both black wolves joined too. They weren't special or something like in the pack. If the Alpha or Luna comes for food, everyone bows and let's them first. Here they just find a place among the rest and start drinking. They aren't given extra space or something, they're just normal. When we were done drinking, Oliver and I sat down, he still in wolf form, and we watched as the wolves were doing their things and minding their business. They were peaceful. Some were talking and laughing, some were sleeping again or still, some left and some were working on making tools. It was like a medieval village with only one house. "Why is there only one building?" I asked Oliver. "Huh?" He mumbled. "Ow. We built it when the first heavily wounded rouge came across. While Sam and Jac treated her, the rouges built a building to keep her safe. There is some kind of a hospital bed and tools in there. We have a lot of tools but we only use them for patients and not in our daily lives. Get it?" I nodded. Sam and Jac? I haven't heard those names yet. Are they... Could that be the wolves. Are the wolves' names Sam and Jac? It should be, right. "Are you guardians called Sam and Jac?" I asked and he nodded. He obviously didn't mean to tell me their names but he did and didn't mind it. He obviously wouldn't be killed by telling their names. After we just sat and laid down a while, the black she-wolf approached us. "Ruth?" She said. "Can I show you around?" and I hesitated. Did I want to go with her without Oliver? "It's OK." Oliver said. "She really won't hurt you, believe me. And if there is someone who can show you around the best places around here, it would be Sam." He said and I nodded. "Okay, let's go." I said and I stood up. Sam obviously mind linked something to Oliver when I stood up but I think it was about me and not meant for me. I followed Sam to the lake and looked back at Oliver. He was already changed and helped some others with making tools.
