Jac's P.O.V.
Sam woke me up at midnight and I took her shift, she didn't smell, hear or see anything suspicious or hostile and went to a nearby tree to sleep in it. After everything we've been through, she still has the same heart with the same love. Now it was my turn to guard. I walked around a bit, watching the stars and the moon and watching over the rouges. But I then sensed an hostile scent. Sam was awake already, she woke up by it too. "How far?" I asked. "If they're running they'll be here around sunrise. I am going to get a bit more sleep but once the scent gets stronger, you wake me up, okay?" she said. I nodded and let her sleep. I looked for anyway to defend the boy. He is too tired and weak to move. I jumped in a tree to strategize. The rouges can stand around the boy, protecting him and keeping him calm and letting him know we protect him. Then I could stand in front of them and Sam can jump behind them circling them, ambushing them. What ever we'll do, we will and must protect the boy. An Alpha isn't allowed to be abusive and this one will learn it the hard way. I then heard the had difficulty breathing again. I ran towards him and put my snout next to his head, listening to his heartbeat. The boy woke up and gasped for air. "Shhhh, don't worry. We're here with you. Just calm down." I said and the boy tried to control his breathing. When he did I asked him: "Feeling any better?" He slowly nodded. "Can you talk already or not yet?" I asked slowly. He tried to open his mouth and speak but nothing came out. "If there's something you really want to tell, move your mouth like your saying it and don't use all your energy trying to make a sound, you need it to heal." I said. He closed his eyes and relaxed a bit but I knew he would try and say something so I stayed by his side. I was right. "Help me." He mouthed. "Don't worry, we are doing all we can to help you. "My Alpha..." He mouthed again. "Yes, I know. He is coming, I smelled him already. He will arrive tomorrow but we will protect you and kill him if that's necessary." I said. He nodded and slowly drifted back into sleep. I ran around and hunted for a while. I just found a wounded rabbit and some kind of weird looking, monkey like animal. I put them near the fire, woke up Sam and took the last bit of rest I could take.
Sam P.O.V
It was my turn to guard again as my brother slept for the last hours before sunrise. I drank some water and looked into my luminous blue eyes in the water. I decided to clean myself and went for a swim. The water was not too cold and it felt like it was hugging me. I went all under and went back to shore. I shook my fur dry and went to lay on a rock, watching over the rouges. Some rouges had mates and some didn't have anyone. Some slept in human form and some in wolf. I enjoyed seeing the small humans curl up in their mate's warm wolf. I've never been cold because of my fur. We once travelled all the way to the north, to Canada, and went hiking big, snowy mountains. We didn't really fit in with our black fur but after a while it turned white because of the amount of snow that was falling down. I stopped day dreaming after I heard a twig snap. I smelled nothing and and went in the direction of the sound. I found a little chick. The poor things has fallen out of its nest. I unfortunately couldn't do anything to bring it back up, not just like this at least. I looked for a twig and tried to let it stand on it. It didn't work and I didn't know what to do with the chick. I left it and waited for a rouge to wake up. When the sun came up, the scents of the approaching wolves was strong and it would take about an hour until they're here. I woke up the rouges and my brother and let them eat before telling them about the approaching alpha. Some freaked out and some were a bit too brave. I told them it would be fine and we would defend ourselves. I let Jac tell them our strategy. "You, the rouges, will be standing around the boy, it is his former alpha and he is injured, so we must do everything to protect him. Don't be too keen to fight though. I will stand between you and the alpha and Sam will close in on them from behind. The change that we kill them before they even touch you is at almost 100%." He said and the rouges agreed. Again, some were happy not to fight and some wanted to get involved and weren't so happy with the way the fight will go but I just wanted all the rouges to be safe while Jac and I were fighting. We formed the formation and not too long after, a dark brown alpha appeared. Behind him were five warriors, all dark grey. Jac hid himself behind the rock with the boy so the Alpha could only see some pathetic rouges. I smelled and didn't scent any wolves near us other than the six we all saw. I mind linked Jac that there were only six and all on the same spot." He waited until the alpha did something. The alpha stepped towards the boy and roared at him. I heard the mind link toward the boy. "You should've been death. I killed you and these pathetic rouges helped you, just wait until I kill them one by one. It would be your fault." Jac obviously heard it too and stepped up. Jac stood above the boy, protecting him. When I saw his move, I jumped out of the tree and sneaked behind them. The alpha roared and changed into his human form. "That boy is mine! He belongs to me and I shall have him." He changed back into his wolf form and roared again. Jac jumped over the rouges and approached the Alpha. "Leave the boy! You tried to kill him and nearly did. Now he's free and lives with us." Jac told the Alpha who roared back in response. I silently took out one of the warriors, then another and another. After a while there were just the Alpha and his second command left. "You might want to watch your back." I told them, sitting behind them with the pile of dead wolves in front of me. They looked shocked. Jac and I began circling the two wolves and snapped at them to scare them. "Kill her." The alpha ordered the Beta. "If you want to live, you better don't." I told him. "DO IT!" The Alpha said using his alpha voice. The Beta ran up to me but I simply slammed him on the ground and he went knock out. The Alpha ran up to my but I moved out of the way, bit his side and tossed him back between Jac and me. "It is our boy now." I said. The Alpha roared and attacked me again, and I again threw him back. He now attacked Jac who did exactly the same and threw him back too. I didn't understand why he kept trying. "Let's just kill him." I told Jac, who agreed. We kept circling and closed in. I made the first move, jumped and snapped his neck. "That was was too easy." I said turning towards the boy. "We killed your former Alpha, you are now a rouge, like the rest of us." I told him. He sighted and fell asleep. His body had a lot to endure and even though I don't know his name, I'm proud of him still trying to live and not giving up. He just needed some time to start healing.
