A knock at the door brings me back to reality. I lift my head just as Rafael enters my office.
His eyes widen at the sight of my cousins gathered there. He raises an eyebrow, clearly surprised by their presence. "Is there a problem?" he asks, his eyes shifting from one cousin to the other.
"No problem at all, Raf," Soon replies. "We just thought we'd stop by and brighten Sky's day."
Rafael looks at the girls suspiciously but ultimately decides not to pry any further. He turns his attention to me and the air feels heavy with unspoken words. "Skylar, I wanted to talk to you about the Palmer house renovation. I showed your ideas to James and Harper and they loved them. They're so impressed, that they want to know if you'd be interested in taking on a more involved role."
