Something in the air was odd. Jones could tell though he had only being half asleep. Could it be because he was not used to the lodgings? The place was convenient enough to his taste... So that could not be the reason why. He was neither troubled nor deprived of his sleep by his thoughts... There was a matter at hand that kept him awake... But what? So much noise, he thought as he forcefully brought himself up and gravely increased the growing headache. Jones placed his right hand to the side of his head while he now sat upright. He felt nauseous, and on the verge of throwing up. Was it the ale he drank? Or just his system not wanting him to stay here any longer.
