"Do you love her that much?" Reese asked softly. He could not believe that his son was already so committed to love at such young age. It had taken him two marriages to get there himself. First to a wolf lady about a hundred and fifty years ago and then to a member of the human race. The first time around was an arranged marriage which did not work out. They didn't even have any children.
"I do admire your courage," Reese commented.
"No, Dad. It is love and commitment that I have because I know beyond the shadow of a doubt that Melinda would do the same for me," Raul responded boldly.
"You do realize that it is hard for me to do this?" Reese commented, trying one more time to change Raul's mind. "Maybe there's still another way of doing this."
"But without the police?" Raul responde
