Chapter 11

THIRD PERSON POV

Mrs Kathy was becoming more madder as she clawed at her daughter. "if Balqis slipped from our gasps then my life would be over!!"

"Stop acting like this mum and tell me what the f**k happened between you two!" Nirvana yelled, her eyes blazing with anger. "Remember she must not know about the account book?"

Mrs Kathy fidgeted, "Actually, it wasn't my fault. I really don't want to...."

"Mum!!" Nirvana panicked. "How can you let a preganant girl see the wrongs we did? How did you expect her to feel not seeing the money she worked so hard for?"

The mother and daughter were frustrated beyond doubts. Nirvana and her mother had planned beforehand that they would use Balqis to make more money before disposing her while pretending to care for her.

Now that the money making girl is gone, the mother and daughter knows this was their end.

Still standing there, analyzing the next dark turn of life, Nirvana's phone rang and she picked the urgent call from her husband, Alpha Elon. "Yes, Alpha?" She asked stepping back a little.

Nirvana was thrown off balance with the first word she heard from Elon.

The phone slipped from her hand, she slowly turned to look at her mum who was confused and was still in shock.

In trembling voice, Mrs Kathy asked. "What happened, Nirv?"

Nirvana was frozen, not answering her mum, making Mrs Kathy grabbed the phone from the ground. “Yes, Alpha Elon?”

“I will make sure I tear you and your daughter apart if I don’t see her” the voice on the phone threatened, and Mrs Kathy was sure that this voice didn’t belong to Alpha Elon.

She was confused but still pressed. “Why did you say so, and who did you mean….”

“What did I mean?” The voice scoffed. “You used her until she wanted to kill herself and now you want to…”

“.…Find Balqis before dawn” Elon’s voice completed what the first man was talking aback making Mrs Kathy more shocked and worried.

She looked her daughter. “Who is the first person that talked and why is Alpha Elon interested if Balqis was around or not?”

Nirvana didn’t say anything but took her phone from her mum and walk out without any words. The voice she heard before Elon’s voice was definitely familiar and she was sure she had heard it before.

Nirvana hoped into her car. She must go and check for herself if what she was thinking was right. Mrs Kathy was left like a lost sheep afterwards.

“Get your head together, Gamma!” Elon yelled, slapping his friend. “You will get nothing done by letting the whole pack know you’re alive!”

Adonai was in rage. His golden hair was now messy and his expression was dark. “Elon she’s gone!” He cried. “She was the only reason why I agreed to this shameless bond with Gwi!”

“So what?” Elon scoffed. “You watched her gave birth until she left right. She’s fine so far she’s no longer in this pack”

Adonai wished his friends words would really help him right now, but he knew such pacifiying method wouldn’t work.

He was leaving their hidden home with Gwi to hack some souls when he heard her cry in the forest.

Adonai couldn’t go there, but was sure it was her due to his mark that was on her, but to his surprise, Gwi instructed him to stand aside while he goes to check.

Adonai had followed Gwi stealthily only to catch him wearing a live mask and going toward Balqis with a woman but the mark he saw on her neck shows that the woman wasn’t real.

He watched as they helped Balqis deliver a pair of twins and he was happy until Gwi snapped his hand while Balqis was talking to her baby and the next thing he heard was that Balqis began to cry about her baby and Gwi took the baby away.

Adonai wanted to challenge Gwi, but he couldn’t because the baby disappeared with the woman.

Adonai had rushed, wanting to meet Balqis but Gwi appeared behind him, telling him to go to where they’re both going alone.

Adonai used that opportunity to try getting to Balqis but somehow, one or two unforeseen situations would distract him until she left for the airport.

Elon patted his friend for the last time. “Go back to work for Gwi so he would release you quickly and you can go find her”

Adonai was panicking. Is working to gain freedom from Gwi the next option? He asked himself before sighing. “Perhaps I should just kill him?”

Elon gasped. “Kill who?” He adjusted his shirt. “I hope you haven’t forgotten that Gwi gave you a new life?”

“HE turned me into a reverent!” He cried. “What is life without Balqis? He also took one of those innocent children and you still; think he deserves an accolade for bringing me back alive with magic?”

Elon was tired, but didn’t argue anymore. “Alright, do it your way”

Just as the two men turned to leave the room, they saw the frozen Nirvana standing at the doorway.

Adonai tried to quickly hide his face but he wasn’t very lucky. Nirvana had seen him. “I saw you alrea, Gamma Adonai”
