After what was only about half an hour, but felt longer, they led us back to the palace doors.
Kal had organized for baskets of food to be put on the doorstep while we walked. As soon as the fairies saw the baskets, they knew what they were and once again dived into them, making us both laugh. I did question whether they already knew and just wanted the goodies.
Kal wrapped his large arms around me as I snuggled into his chest and watched the fairies choose what they wanted to grab. One by one they chose, flew up and again beat their little fists against their chests, before they flew off.
Some actually went back to grab something else.
They really did look adorable carrying the large items in their tiny hands as they flew off.
We nodded and wished them all a good night as they lef
