It came as no surprise that Matt had returned to the common area because he was exhausted. Or so I thought. He excused himself to his room after our short talk, claiming that he wanted to rest for a little while. I let him go without any further questions and with a warm smile because I understood his situation. It was the same for Ruby, Nero and the rest of the red-ties. The simple truth was that Matt had come to the common area to do what he had been doing for a while now; to watch me so that he would be able to confirm his suspicions.
