"I did. About a half an hour ago," Matt said, watching me closely to attempt to figure out where I was about to lead our conversation.
"What did he want from you?" I asked and Matt was pursed his bottom lip in thought. There was no point to keeping his deal with Felix a secret. I was one of the leaders and since Nero was not around, I was the only one he felt he could really trust at the moment.
"He wanted to make a deal with me. In exchange, he would clean up the mess he created," was his simple explanation. He didn't need to say more because there wasn't much more to say. I was the one who approached him with something important to discuss.
