  “Squeak”   “Hiss”   Feeling something pressing down on the foot of the bed and then hearing a squeak, then a hiss, I quickly open my eyes to see her standing there. I really can’t tell if I am dreaming or not, so when I sit up and climb out of bed, I am not surprised when she is gone. She simply has vanished into thin air.   The only thing left when I look down at the bed is a long strand of her blazing red hair. Picking it up carefully, I take it over to the light and inspect it. At first glance, it seems perfectly normal, but when I bring it closer to my face, I decide that it looks strangely alien or even worse like it is fake.
