Chapter 10// Out with The Fam
I didn't come out of my room after that. Saturday afternoon my mom knocked on the door and softly asked if I was hungry. I sent her away grumbling, "No."
She hasn't stopped though and I started to feel bad. I haven't had a real conversation with my own mother since school started.
I decided to get my lazy butt away from my bed and spend the weekend with my mom. Or at least what's left of it.
I opened the door and walked to the living room where she sat with her head down.
"Ma?"
"Melissa? You came out of your room. Are you alright darling?"
"Don't worry about that. Just get dressed, I think we should have some bonding time today." I smiled gently at her.
"Oh, sweetie I can't," she began, and my face dropped, "I don't have anyone to watch Daniel."
