Chapter 35// First Date
"Are you ready?" Alex asked me while we stepped out the door.
I smiled and nodded. "Where are we going?"
"Good question," he said, opening my door. I sat in the seat and watched him close the door and run around to the driver's side.
He started the engine and pulled out of the driveway, a small—but noticeable—smile evident on his face. We were driving down roads I've never seen before and houses that looked old and abandoned.
"Are you taking me to some old house to summon spirits or something?" I joked.
"Yes."
My face filled with fear turned to look at him while he kept a dead serious face and gazed straight out the windshield.
