"Congratulations you have a boy and a girl" the nurse said once she walked into the room with a pink and blue bundle in her arms. "What are you going to name them?"
I looked down at my babies that were in my arms and started to tear up, I started to sob with tears of happiness flowing down my face, I cleared my throat "uh I will just wait for my husband to wake up so we can do it together" she giggled "no problem I will just put they're incubators next to you so that if you want to sleep you can put them down" she pushed them next to my bed and left.
When she left I realised that I had called Alex my husband and didn't even realise it felt natural, maybe just maybe we could work out our problems and be a family.
