Chapter Eleven

Nick’s POV

“Baby what are you doing here with your brother and that slut? How could you bring another girl to our secret spot?” I sat mouth open and frozen in my spot. f**k. f**k. f**k. Why does this keep happening to me? Why do these girls keep showing up right when I’m getting somewhere with Elle?

Jenny came over and sat on my lap, with me still frozen not knowing what to do. “Hello. Earth to Alpha. Are you going to answer me babe?” A clearing of two very angry voices brought me back to my current situation. I looked up to see Luca glaring at me, and Elle with tears in her eyes. I knew she recognized Jenny as the latest in the long list of mistakes I’ve made.

“Baby, don’t be upset. I’m sorry I’ll get rid of her okay?” I said looking into Elle’s eyes, except Jenny thought I was talking to her. “I would hope so.” Jenny answered. I looked down at Jenny with a scowl. “Why are you looking at me like that babe?” She asked. “Get the f**k off my mate. RIGHT. NOW.” Elle growled.

Jenny looked up at Elle with a mix of emotions. First confusion, then realization, followed by anger. “Your mate? As if he would ever go for you.” She scoffed.

I stood, dragging Jenny with me. “You need to leave.” I said emotionlessly. “What? You can’t be serious. You and I both know that I am supposed to be your Luna. You said so yourself.” f**k. Why Moon Goddess? Why are you making everything so hard?

“I never wanted you as my Luna. I wanted to f**k you because the one girl I actually wanted hated me. But it turns out she’s my mate. So, you can f**k off now.” I said with venom clear in my words. She looked at me dead in my eyes before saying, “Nick you will regret this. I promise you that.” Before walking away.

I walked back towards my brother and my mate in hopes that she wouldn’t be too angry. But, when I got there all I saw was a broken girl on her knees crying on my brother’s shoulder. I rushed over to her, but she was quick to slap my hands off her. “Luca, can you give us a minute?” I asked. “No.” He said without hesitation.

“No?” “Yeah, No. You are not speaking to my mate right now. And I suggest you get out of our way so I can take her home.”

I stood up ready to argue with him, but then I heard my mates voice crack with a small please. She didn’t want to talk to me. She didn’t want to look at me. And she didn’t want me to touch her. Why did I keep messing things up with her? Luca stood holding Elle close in his arms and I watched as he took her from me.

I followed close behind them, hoping she would want to talk to me. But she never did. When we got back to the packhouse two more girls had to show up and make the situation even worse. “Hey Alpha. Want to play?” They purred. A sob escaped Elle’s lips when she heard, and I felt so broken. I just brushed past them following Elle and Luca.

They got to Luca’s room where I watched him place her on his bed and told her he’d be right back before he came out to the hall. “Nick. I need you to leave.” He said with anger clear in his eyes. “I can’t leave her. I need to tal-“ He cut me off saying, “If you don’t leave right now my wolf will tear you to shreds. So, I need you to leave. NOW.” He growled. I looked at him, his eyes were black showing his wolf was present and I turned to leave. I couldn’t fight my brother. I’ve down enough to hurt Elle for one night.

‘Baby. Please talk to me.’ I begged. But no answer.

‘I’m begging you. Just yell at me. Hit me. Just don’t shut me out.’

‘Nick. I can’t yell at you or hit you right now because I can’t even stand to look at you or hear your voice. Just leave me alone. All you have done since becoming my mate is break me. Just leave me alone.’ She cried back.

All I’ve done is break her. She hates me. I have made my mate hate me.

‘Yeah, congratulations on ruining everything asshole.’ Chaz growled in my head. I blocked him out. I don’t need anyone else reminding me of how big of a screw up I am. But I also couldn’t leave her alone.

‘Luca. I need you to leave your room. I can’t fix this if I don’t talk to her.’

‘Fine. I’m going to go get her food. You have five minutes. And then you’re gone.’ He answered.

I watched him leave his room and I rushed inside. She laid sobbing on his bed. I went behind her and grabbed her waist. I felt her tense under me. “Nick, get out!” She whisper-yelled. “Baby, I can’t leave you like this.” I tried to reason.

She turned in my arms and looked me in the eyes. “Nick, please if you love me, you’ll leave me alone.” “No baby, I can’t leave you alone because I love you!” I argued back. “Just let me hold you. Let me prove that I am not the guy who was with all those girls. That I’m only yours.” I begged.

“Nick you don’t get it. I’m not crying because yet again another slut came and tried claiming you as there’s. I’m upset that you had the nerve to create an apology date in a place where you would bring every other girl you’ve ever been with.” I looked at her realization hitting me hard. She’s upset because she thinks I see her as any other girl.

“Baby, I didn’t even think of that. I just knew you would love it there and I thought it would be romantic. If it makes any difference, I never brought any other girl to the cave looking the way it did tonight.” She looked at with confusion clear in her eyes. “What do you mean?” She asked.

“Everything that was there tonight Luca and I set up for tonight. It’s usually just a dark cave, not anything romantic looking like tonight.” I explained.

“So, the lights. Tv. Blankets and pillows. All that was just for me?” She asked with hope clear in her eyes. “Yes, baby. I would never put that much effort in anything for anyone other than you.” I inched closer hoping she’d let me kiss her, but before my lips could touch hers, she turned her head. Chaz whimpered in my head. Hurt that his mate didn’t want us to kiss her.

“I appreciate that you made all that effort for me. But my wolf and I still feel hurt and betrayed by you. Just give me tonight and I’ll talk to you tomorrow.” She pleaded. I nodded knowing that she needed time and I would give her anything she needed. I just could help but feel upset. I haven’t been able to sleep with my mate, not even once since finding her. And it’s driving me crazy. I walked out of Luca’s room and headed towards Elle’s. I knew that the only way my wolf and I would get any sleep is if we were surrounded by her scent. I laid in her bed and let her scent engulf me and hoped for sleep to find me.
