After I finished eating breakfast, I turned to Amaya. “Do you still have his card with you? The one you used to call him the last time?” She nodded, and I gestured toward her room. “Go and bring it, please.” Amaya disappeared inside, and within moments, she returned holding the card carefully in her hand. “Look at you,” I teased, arching a brow. “You’re keeping it so precious, as if it’s something important to you.” “Yes, it is,” she shot back with a small smile. “See?
