“Come in, Luana,” Emma said, and opened the door wide. “You are right on time as usual. I have to say, I am a bit nervous at the thought of arriving unannounced on the doorstep of someone I don’t know. What will I say?”
“I can only imagine what you are feeling, Emma. Just be yourself and perhaps begin by telling Destiny how you have just finished reading her book. You might add a bit about your Rachael dream as well, and how you have recently discovered you were adopted. I will be right there to support you. If Destiny is anything like the woman she portrays in her book, I am sure she will be more than happy to talk with you,” Luana said assuredly.
Luana drove Emma directly to 27th Avenue in Newport. She parked a few doors away from the address of the beach house mentioned in the book. O
