~Chapter 6~

On the train

Today is when Astrid is going to be crowned Luna. They seemingly postponed it because I wasn't available for them, and watch him take my sister as his mate and Luna. I don't mind that much, I didn't want him as my mate anyways, but it doesn't mean I don't want a mate at all.

They ruined that hope for me, crushed it like it was nothing. They never really had any sense of care or shame as far as I have known them. 

I'm just going because it is necessary to go. Then I'm leaving, back to the academy, or I'll spend my vacation somewhere else. Maybe Seoul, I've always wanted to go there. I smile to myself, but then it was replaced with a scowl.

Will I even get a second chance??? I just shook my head to remove all my negative thoughts. I still have a lot of time ahead of myself, I'm 18, so I won't let myself be discouraged.

The train was very unique, different from any vehicle I've seen in real life. It was longer than the one in books, shiny and silver, and only winter academy students board the train. It has a separate room for each student, but I didn't have time to finish counting. I stopped at 95, a lot of rooms.

When we had a mid-stop for 30 minutes, I bought some souvenirs for the old people and omegas of the pack. I owe them that much for always treating my wounds. Maybe I could buy them a house with the card that the academy gave me. The pack were always oppressive to the old and weak members; mainly me.

I never knew that the academy always gave a $20, 000 every 2 months to their students. It was a big bonus, adding the money I took from Carl, which I brought with me. It's still the pack money, it's not mine. I'm not going to be like them. I also hid my aura. My teacher said that the aura of strong supernaturals are overwhelming.

I got back on the train and quickly tied my shawl properly, in order to not reveal the blue- white mark on my neck. The mark shows the fact that I'm the Alpha of the Winter pack, and every member will have their own personal mark after the Alpha has assigned to them their titles. It was really interesting...and beautiful. I love my mark. It's the color of a blue fading into white, like it was made for me.

I took all the souvenirs and arranged them in a huge foldable bag and placed it under my chair, glad that I decided to take the bag with me, it proved really useful.

After arranging them, I jumped on my bed and watched cat videos on my phone. I started obsessing over them when Leon showed me funny videos. The cats are always cute, one way or another.

I watched the videos until I slept off.

I woke up at, according to the time, 4:30 AM. I'm still used to waking up that early, even after two months.

I took the mouthwash I packed in my bag and used it, since I forgot to bring my toothbrush. Leon made me forget it.

I sprayed my smelly armpits, considering we don't have a shower on the train, so I don't make anyone uncomfortable. Then I went to check if I didn't miss packing the gifts, because I was very tired yesterday.

When I saw that they were all complete, I got off the train.

I got a taxi and went straight to the pack house. The ride from the airport to the house was about 1 hour, which meant I was going to be very tired.

But that's okay, I'm not the one who asked the previous Alpha to move the pack house far away from the city.

When I arrived, I got down, payed the driver and thanked him, then I walked into the pack house.

It looked disgusting. There were clothes everywhere, dirty diapers, dishes on the table, and the walls, the walls were a totally different color. 'What happened here? It's a disaster'

Suddenly, I felt a presence behind me, one attempting to harm me. I moved away from there, turned around, and was met with my 'Alpha'.

Silence.

That's all there was. He looked like he was expecting something from me. He started looking annoyed, then he raised his hand, probably trying to slap me.

I moved away from him. 'he stinks'.

"You b***h! You came here and can't even show an ounce of respect, bow to your Alpha!!! Now!" I just stared at him. His aura has never been intimidating to me, I just bow because it's a form of respect, but he probably took it as fear.

"Alpha, this isn't exactly how the pack house should look like for your Luna's ceremony, don't you think?" It confused me, the fact that he didn't prepare, the place didn't even look half as pleasant as it usually did.

"Well that's why you're here y'know. We planned on killing you the minute you got here, but then, who would be our punching bag huh? Get on with your work, I bet they kicked you out after seeing how weak you are-" I cut him off.

"Alpha, if you haven't prepared for the ceremony, I can wait in my room until you're done, I have an appointment to get to after today. Until tonight then." I walked past him, and he tried to yank my hair.

"Alpha," I took a deep breath. "If you value your position, you will never try that again" He just stumbled backwards, looking pale and shocked, and I just left.

If he thought I was still an emotionless pushover, he thought wrong.

When I got to a guest room, I settled in and put my bags in one corner. I was sure to not fall asleep in this demon pack, someone may try to possibly choke me.

Instead, I created a round bobble around my bags, that makes things invisible. It lasts until I remove it myself. The most amazing thing about it, is that anyone wan walk through and won't be obstructed. I couldn't take any chances, I have to keep my senses extra heightened even if they are not very experienced in fighting.

It was 6:45 PM now, and I started getting ready for the ceremony, when I remembered that I still had to give the omegas and nana their gifts.

I quickly ran downstairs and caught them on time, when they were about to leave.

"Nana! wait" She turned around, shocked, then teary, and hugged me. They all hugged me, and were worried. They actually cared about me, I thought it was only pity I was getting from them.

 I cried with them for a sweet hour.

I gave them all that I got for them, including dresses that I forced them to wear for the ceremony. They were happy with everything, and I was satisfied, then I hurried back to fix myself up.

I wore a grey dress, silver heels, and light makeup. I didn't want to overdo it so I kept everything medium. 'Now, let's go see our sister'

I got to the venue, and it was in good shape, just some smudges on the walls. I sat down very far away from the stage, then the ceremony started.

In the middle of the ceremony, I saw Astrid smirking at me, and I don't know how she saw me from the crowd but she did, and was smirking at me, as if she just won something. I just looked away, but she didn't look satisfied.

Then there was an announcement being made.

"All members of this pack, there has been a member who has returned from her so-called journey. She illegally went to the Winter academy without seeking permission from her Alpha, She believed that she would become something more than a worthless deformed omega. She even threatened her Alpha with his title.

She will be punished by stripping, and being beaten, then she will be drowned in the sea. Come forward runt, you know who you are." There was silence everywhere. I, of course didn't move, despite knowing that he was talking about me. 'I'm not a runt anymore, I was never one to begin with'

All the crap that he just said made me angrier, and I was slowly losing my cool, and my sanity was slowly slipping away.

"I said come forward" I still stayed put. An Alpha can't control and Alpha.

He walked up to me trying to pull my hair, and I slapped him square in the face so hard, it echoed...
