Arabella woke up rather earlier than she imagined she would. Perhaps it was her excitement about travelling, or the fact that she wanted to exercise, or perhaps it was the urge to pet her newly announced roommates; her two bunnies.
However, she had yet to name them; therefore, the first thing she did was to check on the furballs that had managed to crawl into her humble abode.
Arabella tipped towards the spaces she initially kept them, but when she got there, she found empty boxes with a tad bit of fur inside, then left a trail all around the area before going in a straight line; towards the kitchen.
She followed the trail carefully while sweeping the fur along the way. She wasn't surprised when she saw the bundles huddled up together in her vegetable basket, munching on some lettuce way too fast. 'I need to get some hay'
She suddenly decided to go for a run, then buy a basket for the bunnies on the way. She dressed up, wore her trainers, put a bunch of lettuce into the boxes for the bunnies just to keep them busy, then locked the door firmly and took off for her little exercise.
While on the run, she thought about how she would make the conversation flow with the cashier when they met up.
What was she thinking of asking a girl to meet her at a café to talk about her problems when she couldn't even say hi to her classmates apart from her little bundle of funny boys, although she would rather call them acquaintances due to the fact that they had only talked in class and nowhere else.
She stopped by a nearby store to look for baskets that could contain her babies. It's definitely strange how attached she is to bunnies so fast already.
'The most stylish basket ever is needed. Must find basket' was what she kept chanting in her head while looking around the little store. She most definitely would come back to check out the books that occupied almost half of the store. Cute, isn't she?
She finally found 1, but due to her love for cute things, she unfortunately bought 3. But its better to be safe than sorry. While getting out of the store, a girl bumped into her. As she opened her mouth to speak, the girl pushed her.
"oops, I'm so sorry heehe. Here let me help". She extended her hand to reach for homegirl on the floor, but retracted it as soon as homegirl held on to it. If it wasn't for her workouts and training, she would have fallen back down again.
The curly-haired man next to her smiled sheepishly, trying to apologize for the 'naive' girl. "I apologize, she's not really good at pulling things-" The girl cut him off.
"Oh stop it Josh, I'm not weak, but you are pretty strong. His name is Josh, my best friend. I just noticed that he was checking you out and I realized that, maybe you are kind of pretty.
But I still remember the time when he eyed me like, I'm not that beautiful. I also don't use make-up. y'know?" Arabella was about to respond, disgusted by the girl's backhanded talking but she was cut off again.
"Oh wait! I just noticed that you're wearing makeup so you can't relate. I believe in natural beauty, y'know? I don't wear makeup. I could never wear it like you are. It just looks so cakey and sooo...fake hehe. I really don't wear makeup-"
"I got it, you're very pretty without dabbing powder on your face. It was nice to meet you, sorry for bumping into you. I have to go now, goodbye". She walked past them in a hurry, glad to be finally away from the toxic muppet that she is. 'Is this what Leon calls a pick-me girl?'
The muppet, on the other hand, being the toxic b***h she is ?tried to poison her best friend's head with lies, lies about a person she bumped into 5 minutes ago.
"Joshy, I know you like her but you can't. I heard she's a player. I just pretended not to know because I-I was trying to be nice. She just kept glaring at me and-"
"Stop talking. I know you don't have a clue what that chick's first name is. That's the Alpha of the Winter pack. Are you sick? What if she cuts your head off???!!!" When she heard that, her stupid face visibly paled and she started shaking like a pathetic feather.

Arabella got home, and set the caves and everything else she bought on her bed, then went to the kitchen to check on the rabbits. She was extremely glad to put her cables away because the rabbits were just munching on anything and everything on that basket. Thankfully, there were no hazards.
She placed the 3 pieces of hay that she had bought in the kitchen in front of the little balls of fur. They sniffed around for a while, but managed to find the hay and immediately dug into it.
She prepared a bath for them, considering that they had just appeared in her room out of nowhere and they would most likely have been somewhere dirty.
When it was the right temperature, she took them in and bathed them one by one, then dried them off, the beautiful coat around the animals finally looking like something other than musty.
When she was done, she put one of the caves in front of all of them to see if they would like it. The first one sniffed around it, then tried to feel the texture, before deciding to lay inside it. The second and third followed suit. She was glad that they were asleep, because she would have to keep them coordinated on the plane when it was time for her flight.
She went to take a shower, due to the sticky sweatiness, and used a refreshing lavender shampoo and soap. When she got out, she laid eyes on the bunnies that were staring at her. She smiled at them, and they moved towards her, trying to rest on her chest. 'When did they even wake up????' She laid down for a while and petted them until they fell asleep again, then she placed them back in the cave.
Afterwards, she did a very satisfying skincare routine. As taught by YouTube and Leon, mask after mask, soap after soap, and serum after serum. She finally finished after a full-blown 80 minutes. She stared at her closet, curious about what to wear. All Leon ever bought her were fancy and baggy clothes. She couldn't wear them either.
The fancy ones were too dressy, the baggy ones were too homey, and she only had one outfit she bought for herself apart from the one for the airport and her workout clothes. 'It was nice while it lasted' She thought, as she ripped the clothing from its hanger so hard, I'm sure the hanger would be crying right now.
She kept doing her thing; wrestling with a piece of skirt, not realizing the phone call that kept entering every few minutes.
After getting ready, she carried the basket full of rabbits, locked her dorm room, headed out to the café for the little appointment she had made with the store cashier. She got into a cab and got there exactly 15 minutes later, then decided to wait for the girl while buying some food.
"Hello, what can I get you today?" The kind cashier asked. Arabella skimmed through the menu but couldn't choose between all the delights on the rectangle-shaped item.
She picked at random at least 4 kinds of pastries, or more, and she decided to buy the rose latte after the cashier arrived. She tried her best not to eat before the cashier arrived. She really did...and she succeeded in doing so, fortunately for her.
The cashier appeared earlier than expected, probably scared to bits about what Arabella would do if she didn't get there as fast as expected. She was sweating all over, panting, and bending over to catch her breath.
She managed to calm down, then skimmed the café with her sharp eyes, before landing on a white-haired woman, squirming in the seat, as if trying to hold back doing something. 'She's probably resisting the urge to go to my house and kill me there' Little did this kid know.
She shuffled towards Arabella, and tapped her shoulder. The latter turned so fast, it frightened the girl. "Oh. you're here, have a seat. I ordered for both of us, but it's OK if you want to buy your meal." Lies.
She knew very well that everything that filled the table was bought because she wanted all of it to herself, but she wasn't about to embarrass herself in front of some youngster, despite her being 1 or 2 years older than the kid.
Silence. A married and pregnant silence.
"What are you waiting for? eat. I'll look away if you're uncomfortable". She wasn't that heartless, at least that's what she wanted to believe. The girl had the chance to eat now or pack the food home if she wanted, because Ara most definitely did not call her over to discuss food types.
"S-so what is it you wanted to talk about?" The cashier stuttered, mentally hitting herself for doing so. 'Stupid, now she'll also think you're weak and pathetic' was what kept chanting in the kid's head. She had done really well, according to her drunk dad, in covering her 'imperfections' and 'eye sores' all over her body and face. Perhaps that was why she wore heavy black makeup, or why she wore a black scarf, or why she suddenly looked so timid, and how this current personality looked like a genuine and real one.
"My name is Arabella, what is yours?" Arabella herself had nerves swallowing her whole from the inside out, the picture in her imagination was not pretty. However, she was trying to be strong for the seemingly bothered girl in front of her, and couldn't wait to start her own personal therapy session.
"M-my name is Tammy, Tomika hail." Arabella smiled at her, genuinely. She thought it was a beautiful name for the girl.
"That's a beautiful name, Tomika. How are you?" The way that Arabella kept asking the questions was seemingly horrifying to Tomika, her face currently visibly paling. 'Oh my gosh. What kind of sadistic punishment awaits me as always, as I'm sure hers will be worse than my dad's'
"I-I'm d-doing great thank you" Arabella offered some food to her but the latter shook her head, knowing that she would throw up due to the nerves munching on her brain.
"Tomika, I called you here about something very important," She began. "It's to see if you're okay. to know if you're okay. I could tell in the store that your attitude towards me was odd. It wasn't like what a normal cashier, or a bully would do. You held me as if...you had been held like that before. Have you ever been man-handled?"
She snapped her head up, her eyes moving from her dirty shoelaces to the fragile yet firm looking woman in front of her. 'She wants to know if I'm OK. Me. A pathetic dog like me, is being asked a golden question by the Winter Alpha.' She looked back up to Arabella, who was now eyeing the treats in front of her, not noticing the impact of her words on the little girl.
"O-Of course I'm p-perfectly fine Alpha, I apologize for wh-what I did at the store. It was m-my mistake entirely. I-"
"Tomika, are you okay?" Then that was when the girl started flooding her face with her salty eye fluids, and yes, I realize how disgusting this sounds.
Se was sobbing so much that Ara had to stand up from her seat and hug her to console her, but also to minimize the noise in order to let the bunnies sleep well. "Do you want to tell me about it?" She nodded, and Ara waited for the girl to cry to her heart's content. 'I knew she wasn't okay. Thank you Leon'
