Torn Between Two

Months Passed.

It had been months since Astrid was taken from him. He should have been more alert. if he had been then Astrid would be here with him and his brother.

Callum wouldn't give up his search until he found her.

He had demanded his brother stay at the home whike he himself traveled alone to find his mate.

Callum stood in front of the mirror in the bathroom of the run down hotel room he had paid for.

He looked absolutely horrible. He hadn't shaved in almost 2 months. He was still wearing the same outfit from 3 days ago. His white shirt stained with dirt and grime. Sighing her turned the water on cold and splashed his face. turning the water off he shed his shirt tossing it in the trash. He walked over to the shower and turned it on. Stripping his pants off and tossing those in the trash too. He entered the shower alone and let the water cascade over him.

Finally washing the dirt and grime from him. It only took him 10 minutes in the shower before he stepped out and dried off.

After getting dressed he grabbed his things and left the room. Walking down the hallway pass the the rooms and pass the cleaner. He entered the lobby and returned his key. He wad about to walk out the door when his nose caught a familiar smell.

He could smell Astrid. Her scent was faint but he knew it. Looking around to see if she was near.

There were only 4 other people in the lobby. All of them male. One of the men walked out the door and Astrids scent was gone.

Callum smirked and followed the man quietly.

The man cut through the woods for a kut an hour and a half before stopping at a hidden cabin in the woods.

Astrids smell was really strong. But there was a new smell as well. The smell of an infant hybrid.

Letting out a growl. Callum slowed worked his way to the cabin staying hidden. He scouted the cabin trying to see of there was a way in to get to his mate.

He hit the back of the house and spotted a window. Slowly making his way to the window. He looked in and saw Astrid sitting in a chair holding a child that looked to be 4 or 5 months. Which was how long it had been.

He tapped on the window to get her attention. Which seemed to have worked because she looked up from the sleeping baby in her arms and her eyes went wide.

As Astrid looked at her daughter with love she heard a tap from the window. Looking up her eyes went wide. There in her view was her mate Callum.

She shook her head as he was about to open the window. As she did he stopped. He looked toward where she was looking and saw his evil brother Jasper. Letting out a soft curse word. He stepped back thinking of what he needed to do. Just as he was about to back away a few of Jaspers men came around the corner. Callum quickly shifted and attacked the men taking them out one by one ripping their heads off.

He knew that nothing was going to stop him for rescuing his mate and daughter. Even if it meant using every last ounce of strength to do so. He would go to war for her if it needed be so.

As he finished ripping off the last guards head he turned around and went back to the window to see if it was yet safe to try and get them out. Not a few minutes passed and his mate stepped to the window the the child. She opened the window and leaned out with her child.

" You can only take one of us. Please take her and keep her safe. I need you to take her so I can escape on my own without having to carry her." his mate said to him frantically as she looked back over her shoulder.

" Quickly before he comes back. I will try to be behind you as quickly as I can. Her name is Lillith."she added quickly as he took the child in his arms. As he did his heart clenched not just because he was holding his child for the first time but because he also knew he was leaving his mate behind after months and months of trying to find her and rescue her.

He placed the child in his jaws and turned around and ran not looking back once at his mate. Knowing he needed to get the child away as fast as he could.

he had been running for 2 hours in his form before he stopped and placed the child on the ground and shifted back to his human form. He quickly threw some clothing on before he bent down and picked up his child.

" We will get your mother back soon. I promise. I miss her just as much as you do." he said to her calmly.

He walked a few feet to the edge of the woods before the emerged into a small little town. he healed straight for a hotel to stay in and figure out his next move to get his mate and his daughters mother back.

He knew he was going to need his pack to help him get her back. As he laid her down in a dresser drawer with what clothing he had to support her and cover her he linked his mind with his brothers.

" Brother I found her. We need the pack and I need you to come to me ad keep my daughter safe while we try to rescue her from our half brother" Callum explain to his younger brother Casper. He quickly sent the location he was to his brother through the link. "Don't forget to bring anyone and everyone who is willing to fight to get their Luna back" he finished before he cut off the mind link with Casper.
