A Twist

Bouncing down the steps to the kitchen Astrid thought it would be a good day to go for a walk.

Going to the fridge she grabbed a bottle of water and headed toward the door. She opened the door and stepped out side. Looking to her right she saw Callum sitting in the chair.

He looked over at her as soon as she stepped out. Looking over his glasses he eyed her from head to toe. Her sliver hair was tied up in a ponytail. He moved his eyes to her upper half. She was wearing a pink shirt and over her shirt she wore a zip up grey hoodie. Her lower half was in a pair of dark blue jeans that hugged her perfectly. They defined that ass well. He watched her walk to the edge if the porch and lol around. Just the way she walked he became aroused. Standing up he walked up behind her and grabbed her hips and pulled her against him. Leaning down he softly kissed her neck.

" Where you headed princess?" He asked her.

" I'm going for a walk. " she replied as she leaned into him before sliding from his arms.

" I'd feel more comfortable if you had Casper go with you. " he said.

"Callum I'm fine. I'm a big girl." She stated as she stepped off the steps. " I'll be back." She yelled and she headed towards the trail leading into the woods.

She continued to walk the trail for a little bit before stopping to take a sip of water. She capped her bottle and began to walk again. It seemed she had walked a few miles before she came to a clearing that came to a huge lake. Off to the side was a bench to sit on. She went and sat on the bench taking in the view.

Pulling out her phone she texted her best friend.

" Hey Ry. Sorry I haven't been present. Alot has happened. Maybe we could make a visit sometime soon" she typed and sent it to her bestie. Not 2 mins after she sent it she got a reply.

" Its alright a lotus happened to me too. Yeah a visit would be awesome. " she read with a smile.

" I miss you alot." She replied to her friend before placing her phone back in her pocket and decided to head back to the house. As she walked from the lake amd reach Where she had first stopped to rest she heard a snap of a branch. She looked around to see who was there. Before she focused back infront of her she saw a flash run by her. It was a blur it was to fast. Turing around to see if she could see it again she felt something brush against her. Before she could turn to see it was gone. She was beginning to freak out she began to walk again faster. As she picked up her speed. The blur reappeared again. This time she felt a sharp pain in her wrist.

She let out a noise of pain. She clutched where she had been bitten and picked up her pace. She tripped over a root. She got up quickly and as she did she felt something bite her again. Screaming again. She began to run. Whatever was attacking her was way to fast for her to see or touch. As she ran the anderline she felt began to corse through her body. Her body began to hum with energy. She could feel her wolf wanting to come out. As she ran her body began to shift. Her wolf finally emerging past the veil that held her back. White fur began to grow from her body and her bones began to snap and break as they needed to be. In just a few minutes there stood a white wolf with silver eyes. The wolf began to run. towards the house. she busted through the opening and as she did she shifted back to being a human.

Astrid stumbled to the porch naked. Aje reached the porch and and as she did Callum rushed from inside and caught her before she fell to the ground.

" Azzy. What happened. " he asked with concern and anger.

" I...I was on m..my way back and something so fast came at me. It bit me twice." She gasped out and she griped onto Callum.

Scooping her up in bridal style he rushed her into the house and into the bathroom off the kitchen. Casper stood up and followed his brother.

" What is it Cal? " he asked concerned.

" I don't know Cas. I haven't had the chance to look. " he snapped at his brother. " Grab me the tube in the back of the door. " he ordered his brother.

Turing around he faced Astrid and banished her hair outta her face. As he moved her hair her saw a bite on her shoulder. It wasn't a bite of a wolf.

A growl ripped through his chest and he slammed his fist into the counter top. Ot slightly cracking. Beside him Astrid jumped.

Grabbing the robe he wrapped it around her.

" Cas. Tale out fastest and strongest wolves and go find the bastard who did this. " he growled. " This vampire wont see another day for touching my Luna. " he snapped.

" V..vampire." Astrid stuttered.

" Yes they exist Princess. It seems this one decided to prey on you. They know not to come near here. " he told her.

Barking at the maid he told her to call the pack doctor.

Picking her up he brought her to their room and laid her on the bed.

It was about half hour before the doctor got there.

" Alpha I'm sorry it's to late." He told Callum..

" What do you mean it's to late" he asked with anger.

" The venom has spread through half her body. " he stated.

Astrid let out a scream of pain as she began to thrash. She stopped after a few mins and passed out. This had been going on every 5 minutes. She finally had collapsed into a deep sleep.

" Theres nothing you can do." He barked at the doctor.

The doctor stood up and squared his shoulders and looked at the Alpha.

" There is nothing you will have to wait and see what happens now. " he replied and gathered his back and handed Callum a piece of paper. " The prescription for her birth control. When we know what happens I'll be back to give her the shot " he said and exited out the door.

Sitting down on the bed he looked at her. She was so pale and clammy. He reached for her hand and held it. Her hand was luke warm.

Astrid slipped into a deep sleep. She drifted of to her darkness.

" What are you doing here." Her wolf snarled at the human standing infront of her. It looked like her human but wasn't the eyes were red. It had fangs.

" Quite mutt. I didnt wanna be born. " it hissed.

" You aren't welcome here " the wolf growled. " Leave now." She barked at the creature.

" Unfortunately I can't." The creature snarled. " I'm stuck with you mutt." It shot at her.

" Hows that possible. Only one can be here." The wolf snarled and lunged at the creature but was knocked back.

It seemed to be a veil between her and the creature. The wolf wind. She felt her humans soul ripped in two. Part of it felt warm and alive. Full of bright light. The other half dark like the abyss.

Looking at the creature again the wol growled.

Ot felt like Astrid was watching everything from above. Not being able to speak she watched them.

All of a sudden she was brought to a different place in her mind. Standing before her were two figures.

One she knew as the Moon Goddess. She looked very unhappy. Next to her stood a figure with fangs and red eyes.

" I'm not any happier about it then you are Sybil. " said the creature. " we have no choice. It is what the universe wishes for her " it carried on.

" I've accepted this Lithil. " Sybil snapped at her.

Snapping her attention and she felt admired approach.

" Ah my child." The moon goddess reaches out for Astrid.

" It seems we finally meet. I wish it was in better circumstances. " she cooed at her. Seeing she was confused. She began to explain.

" This is the Goodess of the Night. She is a Vampire. It seems the higher power has decided you are to be a hybrid." She explained.

The creature smiled. " Pleasire to meet you dearie. She looks devine." The vampire crooned. " She will make a fine hybrid. Shes strong. Lwts just hope her mate can handle her. " she made a remark.

" Why." Was all Astrid could say.

" It's your birth right." Stated the vampire.

Astrid snapped out of her sleep. Looking around she saw Callum beside her. She tried to speak but couldn't she had a terrible burning in her throat. It felt on fire.

Reaching over she grabbed Callums hand.

Callum jumped as he felt his mate stir. He looked up at her she was alive. He reached over and cupped her face leaning in to kiss her softly. He felt her push him away and poured at her throat.

" Your thirsty. I'll get you water." He said.

" Its not water she wants brother" Casper said as he leaned against the door. " Its blood. " he stated. As he entered the room.

" What do you mean brother. " Callum said.

" Shes a hybrid. Or will be she need to complete the transition to live." He explained

Callum looked at his mate. A hybrid. There hadn't been one in 200 years. They were rare. Most wolves who got bitten died.

Approaching the bed he sat beside her.

" Is that what you need Princess?" He asked. He saw her nod as she eyed his neck.

Taking her into his arms he brought her lips to his neck.

He heard a groan from her before he felt her teeth graze his neck. Within seconds he felt them pierce his skin and sink into him.

Astrid gripped his shoulders as she gulped his blood. It was so sweet and addicting.

She felt another hand trying to pull her away.

" Astrid you've had enough." She heard a voice.

Releasing her grin on the one she had now she turned and saw another yummy looking male. Sliding from Callums lap she crawled toward Casper. She felt a magnetic pull towards him. Like she need him. Her body hummed. Then she heard a voice.

" Seriously we are to be paired with a wolf as out soulmate. " the creature spoke. " I'm Comet." The creature said.

" What do you mean soul mate. " Astrid questioned.

" wolves and vampires are paired with their other half. Wolves its mates for Vamps its soulmate." Comet explained

"It seems to be this wolf is your soulmate." She snarled " Can't change that ." She said.

Astrid pushed her aside. Shutting her out.

" It seems we have figured out why shes got two mates." Casper stated.

He looked at Callum.

Callum sat quietly as he clutched his neck.

" Astrid a little help please. " he gestured to his neck.

" Not a good idea until shes got control. Shes still thirsty. She will be for the next hour" his brother stated as he walked over to his brother. Bending down Casper liked the wound a few times before it healed.

Astrid approached Casper.

" I suppose you need to feed from your mate to have the hunger go. " he stated as he grabbed her by the hips and lighter her up.

She wrapped her legs around Casper. She tilted her head and sunk her teeth into his shoulder.
