The New Kid

The bell rang as Astrid entered the hallway to the school. Great she was late. She couldn't complain tho. Sje took the long way to school to avoid any stares she didn't need. She huffed as she walked to her locker. Ad she reached it her best friend appeared before her. She smiled as her best friend gave her a huge smile. If it hadn't been for Ryanna she wouldn't have a single friend in this boring broken down town.  Her best friend gave her a huge hug before she noticed that Astrid had fresh bruises. 

" Azzy I dont know why you just won't run away and live with me. " Ry expressed other bestie with concern. 

" Ry you know he'd hunt me down and drag me back." She stated to her friend. " you know I love you and appreciate the gesture." She smiled weakly at her bestie. She closed her locker and started toward homeroom. She entered the classroom with her bestfriend following her.  She stopped dead in her tracks as she caught site of the new kid. 

He was the most beautiful thing she ever saw. His hair black as night. Short and spiked in front. His shirt so tight that if he wanted to he could rip it right in two.

Astrid walked past the new kid to sit in the back of the classroom. Ry followed her to the back and took the seat next to her.

" Ry who is that? " she asked her bestie. For she knew her bestie was one to find everything out. Weather she wanted to or not. Most of the time Ry wanted to know.

" His name is Casper. He moved here from Cali." She said casually as she filed at her nails with her filer.

Astrid sat down in her seat to wait for the teacher to arrive in class. Just as she sat the bell rang letting everyone know to tale their seats before the teacher got into the room. Only few students listened to the bell. Astrid watch the new kid. He was currently being drooled over by Veronica. The school flirt and pass around. She always was trying to get into the next guys pants. Unfortunately the new kid was ignoring her and staring at her. Astrid sunk down into her seat trying to hide herself.

Casper couldn't help but look at the girl in the far back corner. She was beautiful. The most beautiful girl he had ever seen. Her hair spilled out from her hood. He could see it was a brilliant silver with black highlights though out it. Her eyes where this capturing gray and green color. They looked like the color of a sea storm after it calmed. He had caught her scent as she walked by him. As she did his wolf perked up his ears and let out a soft whine as he pawed at the ground. He wanted out. He wanted to meet the she wolf he smelled. It was driving him crazy. He whined louder. Casper got a little annoyed with his wolf. This girl smelled of crisp fall leaves and vanilla. His wolf whined even more. Linking with Casper he pawed the ground harder and began to turn in circles. "Mate" he whimpered at him. Pacing back and forth his wolf became anxious. Casper spoke to his wolf sternly " Down boy."

His wolf let out one last whimper as he obeyed and laid down and placed his head between his paws.

Astrid hid herself from the gaze of the new kid and dug her nose into her book. She inhaled deeply and as she did she caught a strong scent wafting her way. It smelled of burnt firewood and spice.

As soon as the smell hither nose her wolf woke up from her slumber and inhaled deeply catching the scent herself. She let out a low whine at Astrid. She began pounce around and pawing at the ground excited. She linked with Astrid and as they did both stating at the same time "Mate". Astrid scolded her wolf. " Settle down girl. No point in getting excited. You know dad would beat us over this." She stated to her wolf. As she did her wolf laid down and whined knowing her human was right. She liked her muzzle and placed her head in her paws and let out a whoosh of breath.

Just on time the teacher walked in and sat down at his desk and began to call off names and waiting for students to reply. As they did he marked in his book. Even he finished he began class.

Letting out a sigh Astrid made her way to her locker grabbing her books for the last period of the day which was English. Astrid loved English she excelled in this class as well as History. She made her way to her assigned desk which was right next to Ry.

" Finally it's the last period of the day. I am so ready to go home and relax." Ry stated as she sat down next to Astrid.

Rolling her eyes at Ry she opened her book to the chapter they were going to be studying for today.

Mrs. Dust walked in the room and sternly told the kids to sit down. As she finished the new kid arrived into the room and apologized for being late and that he had gotten lost. He glanced at Astrid and sat down and turned his attention to the teacher.

The final bell for the day rang. Astrid bolted to her locker to put away her books and grab what she needed for homework. She shut her locker door and looked at Ry. " I'd love to hang but dad made it clear I needed to get home early today. " she told her bestie. She watched Rys face drop.

" I understand I'll see you Monday. I love you." she kissed Astrid on the cheek before she walked away.

Turing on her heel Astrid made her way out the front doors to the school. She wasn't watching where she was going and bumped into Casper. He was on the step waiting for his ride to come get him. He caught her before she could fall on her ass. Blushing deeply she thanked him and pushed pass him. As his ride pulled up. Casper watched her hurry off before climbing in the car.

" Cas let's go we have to meet with the Silver Moon Pack A8pha. We can't be late. I have to make a peace pact with them. " barked Caspers older brother.

Casper rolled his eyes at his bigger brother and climbed in the car. " As you say big brother.
