I felt the rush of fear from Emmi a moment before I felt power unlike anything I’ve ever felt before flow through my body. That was followed closely by a burning fury that rushed through my veins as Phoenix’s mind snapped into my consciousness. I knew before I saw her that Phoenix had risen and that the battle was here.
I raced out of class, rushing to her and had tripped when I saw her flaming body in the sky. She is utterly and completely gorgeous.
