It was already late afternoon, but Kiara hadn't had a chance to speak with Xavier yet because he hadn't returned to the room. Adira's phone had been turned off all morning. The weirdest thing was that she had not checked a single message that Kiara had sent. They had intended to meet at Adira’s college since it was the safest place to have a peaceful conversation. But Adira had changed the agreed-upon location last night for reasons she had not disclosed to Kiara. Kiara was apprehensive and had a bad feeling.
