"Where the hell is my daughter?" Luna Martha's yell echoed across the pack house. Fear gripped the Beta, Gamma, and other warriors, causing them to step back, unable to lift their heads. She had just gone to visit her mother for three days, but she had no clue that she would lose her daughter less than 24 hours later. Julie, the Beta female, stood behind her Luna with her bags. Julie glared fiercely at her mate, who had bowed his head in shame. She had asked her mate not to accompany Noah, but he had not heard her.
Julie had been the one who had alerted Martha of Adira's absence. She had told her the whole story about locking Adira in a room then forcing her to marry an unknown Alpha. The Luna had gathered enough information to return to the pack as quickly as possible, but she was late.
