"Happy Birthday Kiara," Jennifer and Luna gave her a tight hug.
“Thanks, everyone. This was the best surprise I could have asked for, I love it.” Kiara smiled joyously at them, it was still hard for her to wrap her head around the fact that someone had wished her a happy birthday. Up until this party only her mother and sister had ever bothered to celebrate her birthday, it had always been in her room with delicious food and conversation. She had missed her family more than words could ever possibly express today, yet her new pack mates had eased that burden slightly by surprising their Luna.
