3. Goderick

1136 Words
I wake up under wet leaves and feel like I’ve run a marathon. When I think back to yesterday, it feels like I was in one of my dreams again. The same beautiful wolf with the most beautiful gray fur and her beautiful gray-colored eyes enchanted me with just her look. And then her scent, the most delicious scent I have ever smelled. Lavender with honey. The scents crept into my nose so sweetly. That I wanted to bury myself in her fur. How could she even escape? I am one of the fastest wolves in my pack, say the fastest ever. I am Alpha, I get to proclaim myself as the fastest. Laughs to myself as I drag my body, which is now covered in dirt, through the woods to my home. Yes, exhausted, tired, and disappointed that I didn’t find out more about this beautiful wolf. Back at our pack home, I see a worried Nick looking at me as I walk into my room. “Everything okay, Alpha?” He asks me, but I shut the door on him before he could even form that sentence. Exhausted, I drop onto my bed and fall back into a deep dreamless sleep. Not much later for me, which was hours later. I wake up, still with the leaves and mud surrounding my body. Annoyed now, I look at my dirty bed and shuffle to my bathroom to wash up. When I finally get under the shower, still with a sleepy feeling in my body, I hear a light knock on the door. “Goderick?” I hear a voice I recognize as my sister asks. Only my sister is allowed to enter my room and my beta Nick. “Good,” I say over the water, which she immediately catches with her strong hearing. When I finally exit the bathroom, I see Leonora standing next to my closet. “Any luck, you have underwear on,” she sighs with relief as she moves closer to me and begins scanning me for an answer to her questions. “What are you still doing here?” I ask her instead, annoyed that she is still standing here at all. “I’m your sister. I know how you think Goderick and I know there is something,” she says sternly with her hands placed on her hips. “I had a very weird moment last night when I went for a walk. You know about my dreams, don’t you?” I ask her, knowing that Nick must have said something to her. “Goderick, this addiction of yours with that Luna is really starting to get dangerous now. Let it go.” Angrily, I look at her. “Let it go, Never!” I yell at her, causing her to take a step back. Clearly sensing my bad mood. How dare she! I will never stop looking for her. I will and must find her. Not only that, but I don’t want to be like every wolf on earth and have to wait for death to ever come, no. I want to be strong, and powerful, and want everyone to know I have her. “Goderick, why all these girls if you still want to make her your mate?” Asks my sister with a sigh. “Leonora, I am making her my mate, yes. But no one says I make her my mate,” I tell her, chuckling. She looks at me quizzically. Also getting to the point where she calls her the Luna of eternal life and I have to claim her. “She must become your Luna, Goderick. You know what the demands are, and they are absurd.” Typical, something someone says who no longer has a purpose or has already found her partner. Yes, I know what the demands are, but there is a way for everything. No one says you have to be monogamous with the Luna. Who knows, it might be an old woman who looks terrible. Even though I hear stories that she would be beautiful, Even though those stories are centuries old. Then suddenly I hear rumbling coming from the entrance hall. I walk out of my room to the balustrade to see who is there, sure enough. My mistress, Olympia. “Where is Goderick!” I hear her voice echo down the hallway. “Just the person I was waiting for,” I mutter as I step back into my room to put on clothes. “Are you still stringing her along now? Bonnie had you in bed with her too, don’t you have any shame.” I look at my sister as I pull up my pants and put on my belt, “No.” She looks at me again before walking out of the room muttering. “Goderick, what am I hearing? You did it again!” Sure she heard me talking to my sister, great is this, just great. “You knew this was just s*x, Olympia,” I tell her as I walk to the bathroom to comb my black hair into shape. “Goderick, unbelievable. I thought you would finally come to your senses and make me your permanent mistress,” she begins whining in her high-pitched voice. I look at her with her red lips, black hair, and heels that any woman would break her legs on. “Olympia, you always pushed this through. You knew I’m looking for my Luna, and don’t want a mistress.” Only she doesn’t know that I just continue what I’m doing. Secretly, I have been fed up with her behavior for weeks and would be happy to get rid of her. “Then where is this famous Luna? You know yourself that this is an aimless mission,” she says, almost spitting in my face, full of disgust. She is now standing right in front of me, looking into my dark eyes, searching for some opportunity for her. Affection I don’t feel at all. Angry and hurt, she storms out of the room. Faster than I ever thought anyone could run with shoes like that. She even came right up to my face in them. I am a big man myself and though she is not small and certainly with her five inches shoes. Relieved, I leave my room to go to dinner. Nick and Leonora are already sitting there when I walk in, but when I am inside their conversation has suddenly stopped, and they are just looking at their plates. “What’s wrong?” I ask them in a stern tone. “The king is here in our village,” I hear my sister’s soft voice say, cursing underneath. Everyone knows that the king and I don’t really get through the same door.
