Chapter 26

2972 Words

Soleil It took me a week to find a balance. I went on a silent rampage after my day of numbness. I wanted all parties involved to feel a fraction of what I did and over time increase that feeling within me. I wanted to make sure it was embedded in the core of their existence so they could never forget. I wanted every future generation of their bloodline to be cursed with that same feeling. For a week, I allowed anger, hate, and revenge to be my motivation, my anchor. I’ll never say I regret it because I don’t. Plus, I got results. I’ve come to discover that people in this world only understand violence. They only respond through torture or the fear of being tortured. Simply asking gets you nowhere. Sometimes taking a family member is just the recipe you need to get a seat at the table.
