‘Love it! I just love it when you two do that,’ says Mee after the couple finish their unscheduled performance. ‘It’s really cool,’ he adds, clapping and laughing along with Ellie and Johnny.
All three guys roll around on the grass trying to tickle each other as they giggle like a group of five-year-olds at a birthday party. Madge joins in the laughter too as she sits watching Ellie and the boys, and she wonders what other musical talents these three-young people have in store for her.
‘I really enjoyed that,’ agrees Madge, a little breathless from laughter as the fun dies down. ‘And I think it’s going to be fun having you guys around here, a whole lot of fun.’
Everyone carries on chatting under Madge’s oak tree for a while longer before Ellie suddenly climbs to her feet.
