CHAPTER 3

Caleb

"Babe are you listening" Stephanie asked. She's my girlfriend of a year now and I have to say she's helped me through a lot of the things I've went through with Abby.

Just thinking about her brings back memories that I've put aside. I did things out of my character for her. I've almost murdered a man for her. And I have murdered a woman for her. She's the most magnificent women I've come across as n all my life, but she didn't choose me. She chose those men instead.

"Yes, I'm listening" I reassured her while wrapping my arm around her waist as we walked on the island. It was my first time bringing any one here beside Abby so Stephanie as you can see is special to me.

We met a little while after Abby left. I was In and out of women like I take showers. No one could satisfy the need of being quite.... special until I seen her. She was beautiful and I only wanted to speak to her but found myself being captivated by her everything. She sure was something.

Her eyes were as blue as the ocean and her blond hair feel in her face just the way I liked it. She was a little young at the age of only nineteen, but it was something about her I couldn't resist. She was lovely.

The most remarkable women. I could see the similarities of her and Abby but just a few. She was her own person and I couldn't be happier to have found her wandering around this world as if she owned it. I promised to give her the world and more. I thought love only finds a person once in a lifetime, but I could feel myself slowly falling for her every day. Every time she sleeps her pouty lips poke out in the most adorable way it's almost as if a spell was casted on me by this young girl. She was all mine.

No complications, no repercussions. She's never even had s*x before me. I was her first everything. My little fallen angel. Mine.

"Why do we have to leave I love this island" she exclaimed dramatically while spinning in a circle. I chucked and watched her take in the sun on her skin. So delicate and soft.

"I have work to attend and you know your mom would kill me if she found out that I didn't take you back for school"

She huffed and made that face that I just couldn't resist. She knew just the way to make me puddy into her little hands.

"Fine I guess" she turned away and walked towards the house. I couldn't stand to see her upset with me. My angel could get anything she wanted but somethings couldn't be negotiated like school.

"Angel. Are you upset?" I walked behind her. She didn't once turn around but only crossed her arms and walked faster. I chuckled to myself at her attitude. She couldn't be angry even if she tried. She'll always look like a pure angel.

Slowly walking up behind her I grabbed her and spinner her around in a circle which had her screaming with surprise and joy.

"No fair Caleb"

"How about I make it up to you"

"And, how would you?"

"I thought you'd learn I'm full of surprises by now"

*ring! Ring! *

"Yes pam" I answered my phone that's strictly for work.

"We have our training team already started I just wanted to update you on the latest hires" I sigh and rub my eyes.

Pam knows she the only one I trust in hiring and firing. She picks the best of the best and fires the ones that slack. She's been a real help in being my recent assistant, but she always lets me know about anything she thinks is important. I really appreciate everything she does but waking me up at five in the morning for this isn't necessary.

"Oak you know I trust anything you do. My company has successfully been run by you and the team you pick everyday" I chuckle. She really was something when it came to her job.

"I know Mr. Black but let me just go over some of the list if I may?"

"Go ahead" I shake my head and smile.

"Well... as you know your company has expanded over the years and now goes by man other names"

As if I didn’t, I said a quick yes. This wasn't new to me, but she just had to let me know how successful I have become.

"Is that Pam?" Stephanie asked as she rolled over onto my chest. She knows every time I get an early call like this it's always and I mean always Pam informing me on whatever.

"Yes"

"Tell Stephanie I did hello. Anyway, I have hired a few people I think will be very significant to our company and the expansion. First, we have Richard Newman. He's just wonderful I've checked his background and made calls about him he's legit and... wow how outstanding he is. Another one, Tracy green, she's a little on the wild side but I can see the passion and the background check I have on her is really something. She isn't what you'd expect but she's just as great so please don't judge her by her looks" she went in and on for almost thirty minutes until she landed on a name that snapped me out of my dull head.

"Abigail Jones" That name has my heart beating out of control and my palms sweaty. I tried so many nights to escape that name. I tried not going after her or spying or anything for that matter why is she back this can't be happening. What should I do?!

"Mr. Black, did you hear me?"

"Uh... yeah I-I did. Is that all Pam?"

"Yes but-"

"I'll speak to you during a descent time in the day goodbye" I hung up the phone and put it on the table.

"What's wrong?" Stephanie asked, looking at her made me calm. She leveled me and brought me back. She was my peace.

"Nothing. Let's go back to sleep" I pulled her close and buried my head into her neck and inhaled her scent. I'll deal with this newfound information in the morning but now all I need is my Stephanie.
