Queen Jasmine stared at her husband while he continued talking. He wanted to sell her daughter off like a common w***e if she refused to marry before the next moon festival. This was unacceptable! Unbelievable!
" Marceau I can't believe you are saying such a thing. She's our only daughter. " Queen Jasmine protested.
" There will be a ball where she pick the suitor of her choice. If she doesn't find her taste at the ball, I'll pick a suitor for her. If she doesn't accept him, I'll give her to anybody I like. " King Marceau said firmly.
" My Lord please don't do this. She's your only daughter. " Queen Jasmine begged. The door opened.
" Mother, father. " Marcella curtsied when she was close to her parents.
" What is it child?" King Marceau asked.
" I'd like to seek permission to go hunting with my brothers. " She said with her head bowed.
" You're a princess Marcella. Princesses don't hunt." Queen Jasmine said.
" I know mother. Just this once, I want to see more of the outside world before I get married. " She said and king raised his eyebrows.
" Married?" The king asked a bit excited.
" I'm not going to remain a spinster forever. I'll get married someday. I'd like to know more about different areas of the world before that happens. Please father, just this once. " She said on knees.
" Rise child. I'll allow you to go for only today... "
" Thank you Father. "
" But you must promise me, you won't get injured. "
" I promise. Thank you Father. " She said and ran out of the throne room happily.
" Did father say yes?" Marcellus asked.
" Yes..I'll go get my gear." She said excitedly.
" You don't have one." Ethan chuckled.
" Oh, that's true. I'll have to go with what I have. See you boys in ten minutes." She winked and ran off before they could say another word.
" Did she just call us boys?" Ethan asked and Nicholas chuckled.
" No she called you a boy. You're the only one who heard her." Nicholas teased and Ethan grunted.
" I'll get you next time, I promise." Ethan grumbled.
" How? I'm smarter than you." Nicholas winked.
Marcella rode behind her brothers as they went deeper into the forest. She grumbled endlessly because of the distance they've been riding.
" Aren't we there yet?" She asked yawning.
" We're almost there." Marcellus said.
" Does your hunting ground take long to get to?" She grumbled.
" Who said we're going hunting?" Nicholas winked.
" What?! " They got a spot with waterfalls surrounding it and they came down from their horses. " What are we doing here?"
" Hunting and swimming." Marcellus said . " Why do you don't swim while we hunt." He winked.
" That's not fair." She pouted.
" You can't possibly swim with us." Ethan chuckled.
" I'll hunt while you swim." She said and took a dagger from her pocket. She threw it forward and it hit an antelope. " Can't hunt. Hmmph pathetic!" She said and walked towards the injured antelope.
" Now we can swim!" She smiled.
" How did you see it?" Ethan asked. They were all speechless because no one taught her how to hunt.
" I got good eyes and this one's been here since we got here watching us closely." She winked. " You boys can swim." She smiled.
" No way. With you watching us?" Marcellus scoffed.
" You were ready to watch me swim. Why don't you swim? I won't stare. I promise. " She smirked and sat on a rock nearby.
" Baby sister's getting smart." Ethan said.
" Can't believe she's eighteen. I was thinking she was twenty. " Nicholas whispered.
" I heard that. " Marcella said and threw a tiny rock in the water.
