Chapter 6
Tim Wilde joined Stella and DI Williams in the inspector's office when they returned from interviewing Mark Roberts.
'Any luck with any of your interviews, Wilde?' said DI Williams.
'No-one is saying anything. They're all copping the charge.'
'Bikies code of honour or something?'
's**t scared of what will happen to them if they spill the beans, more likely,' said Tim.
'Anything on the one that got himself shot?'
'I'm waiting on the toxicology report. One of the lads I interviewed told me Sims was a meth user. Said he couldn't believe he'd actually pulled a gun on a bunch of armed policemen. Reckoned he must have been out of his mind.'
'Either that or he had a personal vendetta against you, Wilde.'
'Either way, sir, he got himself killed for no good reason.'
