Chapter 5
The following Monday was a slow day. Stella did her admin tasks. Brian searched the files of the laptop they had found in Bob’s apartment. They waited for a response to their public appeal for help in identifying who he was.
‘Might have something here, Sarge.’
Stella looked up from her computer. Brian was still looking at the screen of Bob’s laptop.
‘I’ve found the details of a storage unit at Windsor Gardens in an email. And, there’s a monthly payment going from his credit card to Storage King. Looks like he must have something in storage.’
Stella arranged for a warrant to authorise a search of the storage unit. Half an hour later they were standing in the office of the Storage King facility at Windsor Gardens.
‘What unit was that again?’ said the woman behind the counter,
