Chapter 3
Stella spent the morning watching Dr Wright conduct the autopsies on the bodies of Ken Draper and Samantha Atwood. By the end of the session, Dr Wright had confirmed the cause of death for both victims as being multiple gunshot wounds to the head, probably inflicted early Tuesday evening. He’d also extracted a 9mm bullet from Draper’s brain cavity to go with the three others CSI had recovered from the crime scene.
When she returned to the squad room, Brian was reading the paper.
‘Haven’t you got anything to do, Brian?’ said Stella.
‘DI Williams just dropped this on my desk. Another three women have accused Doug Easton of s****l harassment.’
‘Has Easton said anything?’ said Stella.
‘He’s denying it all, according to his lawyer. Claims he’s only ever engaged in consensual s*
