Chapter 6
Stella woke with a start and wondered what the noise was. After a few dazed moments, she realized the sound was coming from the mobile phone on the floor beside the bed, where she'd left it plugged into the charger. She looked at the bedside clock. It was just after six.
She flicked on the bedside light and picked up the phone. DI Williams' details lit up the display.
'DS Bruno.'
'We have another hanging,' said DI Williams. 'It's not far from your place.'
'Where?' said Stella, swinging her feet onto the floor.
'Morialta Park.'
Stella had a quick shower and dressed. Then she went into Josh's room and woke him up.
'I have to go, sweetheart. Get yourself breakfast and don't be late. You know how Nonna gets upset if you keep her waiting.'
She waited until Josh was out of bed
