Chapter 9 Charlie was sitting at the table in the back corner of the pub when John arrived. This was the third time they'd met since Catherine's death. 'I had a call from Simon last night,' said Charlie. 'Thought we'd agreed that he'd pass messages through me,' said John. 'His call wasn't about Hamlet,' said Charlie. 'He wanted to talk about something he's planning for The Fringe.' John sat back in his chair. 'I didn't know he was doing anything for The Fringe,' said John. 'It's supposed to be a secret. He told me I wasn't to tell anybody,' said Charlie. 'So why are you telling me?' A waiter came to the table and took their order. 'He's putting on a two person show about a hangman who's filled with remorse. One of the characters is the hangman and the other spends most of the show
