I can hear their taunting suggestions of compromise flooding my mind, but I know now that there is a much bigger reason for being with this man than the s****l sport of experimentation. Pierre is unlike any other lover, any other man I’ve wanted. I see myself inside his eyes and somewhere in those unfathomable caverns, I sense traces of despair in him similar to my own. I know now what Pierre meant when he said I want to ‘know’ you. I’m not sure he understands why he was instinctively drawn to me.
