As soon as they all disperse, I make a beeline for Emma, she appears to be too comfortable with him.
The moment she see me, Emma beam a smile. “Rick, meet my dad.” She moves close to me and I hook my arm around hers.
Clenching my jaw so hard, I fix him a hard stare, nodding. Rick keeps smiling at me and at that moment, I feel like slapping that goddamn smile from his face.
He steps forward with his hand outstretch. “It's a pleasure, sir.”
I return his handshake so as not to appear as being rude. “Same here,” I say.
After that, I glance at Emma. “I think we should be on our way.” I don't like how she's suddenly warming up to the new guy.
