Knox My senses freeze and my body seizes as she tries to coax me into a kiss. I jerk my head back, dragging my lips away from hers. She lunges again but this time I am ready. My fingers snake around her neck, almost choking her. Her eyes bulged, wide with fear that glazes over them. She claws at my hand to break my tight hold on her neck. Using my superior strength, I pin her flailing wrists with my free hand. She struggles with me which is a lame attempt. “Now listen to me, you fool,” I growl in a rough voice I barely recognize. “You will leave my office, and my life! I do not want you around me.
