I sweat bullets as Charlie’s dad starts asking me questions about the Kingdom.
He knows I’m not as knowledgeable about the topic as I’d want to be. I already explained that in our earlier conversation.
The guy hates my guts.
This is my first time dealing with an irate father. The girls I’ve known in the past never dragged me to the ‘meet-the-parents’ stage.
I wipe my palm on my blue jeans and try not to show how much I’m shaking.
