I was seated there in one position for hours. I only took note of the time that passed when I noticed it was getting really dark outside. My stomach groaned, yet I knew I could not eat a morsel without throwing it up.
“It can't all go away. Not now. Not yet,” I whispered to myself. I was tired of everything and everyone. I tried one last time to get to Jack. Since he left, he's been unavailable.
I understood why he would be. He told me before he left that he'd want to give himself some space to get over how he feels for me.
“Jack, I need you now,” I said again to the empty space as I tried his number yet again. It was ringing, which was better than before when there wasn't even any ringing.
