I was done playing games with her. I needed her to understand that she was going to be safe with me and me alone.
As she stared at me on the tiny hospital bed, I couldn't help but feel grateful that she was still alive.
She wasn't even aware that it had already been 2 days. She's been unconscious for 2 days. Over the past two days, I've watched her limp body and prayed.
The fright I felt when I saw her on the bathroom floor. It shook me in ways I didn't understand.
