It's been about two weeks since my attempt at… It has proven to be the reason I have a mountain of guilt on my shoulders.
I finally saw Damian. He didn't realise I'd been at the same hospital as him for a while.
When the time came, I pretended like I was going back home. He held on to me when it was time to go.
“Damian, I'll be back tomorrow, I promise,” I reassured him, I knew now that I'll see him every day. After all, we're in the same hospital.
“You've been away for so long, Mom. Jaden said you've been very busy and that I should be patient with you."”
“Jaden said that?” I asked with wonder.
“Yes. We talked a lot about you. I told him how you're the best mom in the world,” he announced as he looked up at me with admiration.
