Carnegie's Antiques remained closed. Becky was getting the glass replaced and she was alone with her mother while that happened. Becky had to choose a new window, and she wanted the old one. She didn't know what her aunt would say about the new window.
She had to stop stressing about what her aunt would do or say.
Pauline wasn't even there to voice her concern.
She and her mother stayed in the upstairs apartment while the glass was being changed. It was a lazy day across town, like after any big event. The tournament would air in a couple of months.
