Chapter 90: The Sacrifice
She made it three miles before she turned around.
The baby was asleep in the car seat. The airport was twenty minutes away. Freedom was within reach.
And she couldn't do it.
Couldn't leave Adrian and her father to take the dangerous route while she fled to safety. Couldn't split their family apart after they'd fought so hard to stay together.
Couldn't abandon the two men she loved most.
She turned the car around. Drove back fast. Trying to catch them before they got too far.
