The break lasted exactly forty-eight hours. Then Alexei called an emergency meeting.
"We have a problem," he said when they assembled at the warehouse. "A big one."
"What now?" Adrian asked, exhausted. "I thought Chen was our last crisis."
"Chen was working with someone. He didn't act alone." Alexei pulled up surveillance footage on the big screen. "Look at this. Three days before he made his move, Chen met with someone. Multiple times."
The footage showed Chen in what looked like a parking garage, talking to a figure whose face was obscured by shadows and a hood.
"Can you enhance it?" Viktor asked. "Get a better look at who it is?"
"Dmitri's been trying. But whoever it is, they knew where the cameras were, how to avoid them." Alexei changed the image. "But we got lucky.
