It finally occurs to me after we’re already most of the way down to the dining hall and common areas why Ronnie was giving me that borderline-panicked look when I mentioned baby showers. I only meant to warn her that baby showers here are probably different than she’s used to, but when she said she’s never even been to one, I decided it’s not important.
