*Olivia's POV*
Here we are, in my bed on Thursday morning, when I started to feel kisses on my neck.
"Ollie." He kissed my neck.
"Ollie, we've got to get up. School." He kissed my neck.
"No." I groaned and put my pillow over my face.
"Don't make me wake you up woman." He kissed my neck again.
I groaned.
"Olivia Annabel Pate, get up." He kept kissing my neck.
"No." I groaned again. "Go home."
"Fine then, wake you up it is." He kissed my neck. And then kissed me down to my collar bone.
He kissed down in to the neck line of my tank top, and then I felt him move down my body.
"What are you doing?" I whispered as I moved my pillow off my face.
"Waking you up." He smirked as he kissed down my hipbones and moved inbetween my thighs.
"I'm awake." I nodded as he pulled my shorts to the side.
"Too late." He nodded as he dove down to kiss my favorite part of my body to be kissed.
I gasped as he did it.
"Mason I'm up." I lightly moaned.
"Trust me. Me too." I felt a slight smile as he continued to kiss the area.
"My parents are home." I threw my head back.
"So put your pillow back on your face, and shut up Ol." He let out a deep breath as he slid a finger in.
He went for a few minutes and then out of no where someone knocked on my door.
"What!" I jumped and started slapping Masons hand away.
But he just grabbed them, held them at my sides, and kept going.
"Why is your door locked?" I heard Connor ask.
"Because I have 3 brothers and I need privacy." I let out with a deep breath.
"So come unlock it now." He yelled.
"I'm not out of bed yet Connor." I said trying to cover up the moan as much as I can.
"What the hell is wrong with you, are you sick or something?" He knocked again.
"N-No. I'm just, I'm getting there." I closed my eyes trying to hold back another moan as Mason just kept going.
"Out of bed?"
"Connor, I'm getting there." I pursed my lips.
And eveidently me saying 'i'm getting there.' Mason took as me saying go faster, which, it kind of was. He let go of one of my hands and slid a finger back in.
"Ol!" Connor yelled.
"Go downstairs Connor." I yelled and put my hand over my mouth.
"Alright! God!" He yelled as I heard him start going down the stairs.
Mason went faster, and harder until I couldn't hold in in anymore.
I threw my pillow back over my face and lightly yelled "Holy fuck." In to my pillow.
He slowed down, came to a complete stop, and made his way back up my body.
He moved the pillow off my face and just hovered over top of me. "Good morning." He whispered and smirked.
"That was not funny." I shook my head and pursed my lips.
"But it was insanely good." He nodded.
"Get out of my room." I pointed out the window.
"You, look so pretty when you wake up." He leaned down and kissed me.
And all I could do was stare at him.
He sighed and rolled off me. "Ol." He shook his head and just laid next to me.
"Huh?"
"Scared face." He took a deep breath and closed his eyes.
I just pursed my lips.
"I'm trying." He rolled to his side and leaned on his elbow. "It's been 3 days, and I'm doing things that I have never done for any girl before. Is that not enough?"
"I never said that." I shook my head. "I know." I nodded. "And I promise I'm trying too. I'm just-"
He cut me off. "Scared." He pursed his lips.
"Olivia!" I heard Connor outside my door again.
"I'm coming!" I yelled.
I heard steps going down the stairs.
"You actually already did." Mason whispered and smirked.
I let out a small laugh and pulled him in to another kiss. "Go home, I'll see you in my kitchen in what, 10 minutes?" I smiled.
He rubbed his nose against mine. "What're you doing to me Olivia Pate." He smiled.
"We've got 3 months to find out." I nodded.
"I'll see you in a few minutes." He gave me a small kiss and got up.
He crawled out my window, up his lattuce by his window, and in to his room.
And then my phone went off.
I put my curl cream in my hair, did my make-up, put on a pair of bootcut jeans, my crocs, and Mason's crewneck, grabbed my bag, and walked downstairs.
"Good morning." I smiled.
"What took so long." Oaken shook his head.
Mason came rolling in through the back door.
"Oaken, we need you home right after school." Mom pointed at him
"Why, am I grounded too?" Oaken rolled his eyes.
"No." She shook her head. "And neither is Connor."
"Really?" Connor looked at her.
She nodded.
"We need you home because we have to go to the mall." My dad pursed his lips.
"I don't need anything from the mall." He gave him a look.
My mom sighed. "We, are taking you to get fitted for hockey skates." She pursed her lips.
"Really?" His head shot up.
She nodded.
And then Oaken looked at me. "What did you say?"
"I didn't say anything." I shook my head.
He gave me a look, and I nodded toward Connor.
He looked at Connor. "Really?"
Connor leaned back and crossed his arms. "If you're serious about doing it, you should be able too." He shrugged.
"You can't stand hockey." Oaken shook his head.
"No." He shook his head. "But I love you." He sat forward and put his elbows on the table. "Do you really think I like dance? But, I havent missed a recital or competition. I've never told her no to helping her either. I don't have to like the sports you guys do to support you. So, if you want to play hockey, I'm gonna be at every game." He let out a small smile.
Oaken let out a small smile too. "Thank you."
"It wasn't my decision." Connor shrugged.
"Thank you Mom." Oaken looked over at her.
"I'm sorry baby." She shook her head.
"It's Ok." He nodded.
"Awe, Momma Holly's growing up." Mason pouted.
"Shut up Mason." She rolled her eyes.
I looked over at Connor.
"Don't say it." He shook his head.
"You're a good brothe Con." I nodded.
"I have my moments." He shrugged.
*Mason's POV*
Oaken decided to ride with Connor and I to school. And I didn't talk the entire time to get Ben. All I could think about was this morning, waking up next to Olivia, waking her up, her being terrified of me. The first part, great. The second part, hott. The third part, upsetting because I have never scared her before. But, with me being who I am, I kind of get why she is. I just don't know if she's ever going to realize that I'm actually serious.
We got to school, Ben went to his locker, and Oaken and I went to Connors with him.
"Hey Oaken." Will walked up to us.
"Will." Oaken nodded.
"Connor, Mason." He pursed his lips.
"Grayson." We both crossed our arms.
"Have you by any chance thought about what we talked about yesterday?" He asked Oaken.
"Actually yeah." Oaken pursed his lips. "I talked to my parents about it last night. They're gonna take me to get fitted for skates after school."
"Awesome." Will smiled. "Glad to hear it. Uh, why don't you get my number from Olivia and we'll talk about when you want to start."
"OK." Oaken nodded. "Any type of skate you reccommend?"
"Uh, Yeah." He nodded. "You can't go wrong with Bauers. For you, I'd look at Bauers Supreme's. Maybe the S36's."
"Awesome. Thanks." Oaken smiled. "Uh, I have to go find Amber. You two are taking me home?" He pointed at Connor and I.
I nodded.
"Alright. I'll get ahold of you later Will." He pointed at him and walked away.
"Amber?" Will looked at Connor and I.
"Girlfriend." Connor nodded.
"Nice." Will nodded. "I couldn't even get a girlfriend as a freshman."
"You're not just f*****g with Oaken, are you?" I shook my head.
He looked at me and scrunched his face. "No." He shook his head. "I don't f**k around when it comes to my sports. I approached Oaken because, because I see something in him. And pretty sure it's the next me. With the right person helping him, I can see him going pretty far. Can you two think of someone better to help him than me, or?"
"You're not just using this as an excuse to get close to Olivia?" Connor shook his head.
"I don't need an excuse to get close to Olivia." He raised his eyebrows. "Her and I are just friends. And if I want to be more than just friends with her, she's who I should talk to, not you two. So I suggest you stay out of our business."
"Her business is my business." Connor crossed his arms.
"Mine's not. And if my business involves her, you can keep your ass out of it. I'm not Saunders, I don't care what you do to me. Cause I do it back better. Understood?" Will shook his head and walked away.
Connor sighed. "Grayson."
"What Pate?" He turned around.
"What kind of hockey stick do you recommend for him?" Connor shook his head.
"Why?" Will rolled his eyes.
"Because we got Olivia her new pointe shoes, so we're getting Oaken his hockey stick." I pursed my lips.
"You two can't stand hockey players." Will shook his head.
"But we love my little brother. So if you're dancing with my sister and hanging out with my brother, you better get used to us. Because we've never missed a recital or competition, and we won't miss a game if he's playing either." Connor shrugged.
Will nodded. "Alright then. Price matter?"
"Nope." I shook my head.
"Something durable. The only stick I haven't snapped or cracked is a Bauer, just like the skates. Probably a Bauer Supreme. S2 model, get him a team grip, it'll help him have more control. And, how much do you think he weighs?"
"Uh, 140? Around there?" Connor looked at me.
"Then, get him, at least a 77 flex." Will nodded.
"What?" I scrunched my face.
"Flex, is how much pressure it'll take the bend the stick shaft. You always want to try to get a stick with a flex rating that's at least half your body weight."
Connor sighed. "Alright." He nodded.
"And, for the record, I'm not after Olivia." He shook his head. "I barely know her. But if we keep dancing together, I do get to know her, and I like what I'm learning, then I'm gonna pursue her. And, I have a tendancy of getting what I want. So, I suggest you two stay out of my way, if you know what's good for you." He raised his eyebrows and walked away.
"Why is it the one dude none of us are going to step to, is spending time with my siblings?" Connor looked at me.
"Uh, the one dude you wont step to." I pointed at him.
"He starts f*****g with my sister I just might." He crossed his arms.
"Liv won't give him the time of day in that area." I shook my head.
"How do you know."
"I just do." I shrugged.
"Lets hope so." He shook his head. "Good luck in English." He patted my back as he walked away.
First period flew by, and unfortunately it was time for english.
I walked in, and sat down with Ol waiting for Sienna.
"Question." I sat looked over at her.
"Yes?" She pursed her lips.
"There any chance you and Grayson are gonna get together? Cause if there is, let me know so I can-"
"Whoah, what the hell is this?" She shook her head.
"He came and talked to Oaken this morning, Connor asked if he was just doing it as an excuse to get close to you, he said he didn't need an excuse and that if he wanted to get close to you, he needed to talk to you, not us."
"Which is true." She nodded.
"Then told us that if he keeps dancing with you, getting to know you, and if he likes what he's learning, that he's going to pursue you. And if Connor and I knew what was good for us, we would stay out of his way. So if you're feeling him-"
"Feeling who?" Sienna plopped down on the other side of her.
Olivia sighed. "I am not in to Will. Ok?" She shook her head.
"Will Grayson?" Sienna raised her eyebrows.
"Well apparently he's taken some type of interest in you." I crossed my arms.
"Who cares." Sienna gave me a look. "Will's hott. And he's a great guy."
"You don't help." I shook my head.
"First up to present, Katie and Sienna." Miss Jordan smiled and sat at her desk.
Sienna and Katie went up to the front of the class.
"Ol." I shook my head.
"Text." She nodded.
I pulled out my phone.
O; If I wanted Will, you would know. I don't want Will. I clearly want you, or I wouldn't be beating my brains out trying to clear out every possible bad outcome of this.
And I couldn't help but let out a smile.
O; What?
M; You want me?
O; Oh shut up.
M; Ol, you have me. Now, let me have you.
Then everyone started clapping.
"Next up, Carter and Mason." Miss Jordan smiled.
"Oh my god no." I closed my eyes.
"You're gonna be fine Mason." Olivia nodded.
I took a deep breath and walked up to the front of the classroom.
"We chose the poem To Helen by Edgar Allen Poe." Carter smiled. "Mason's going to read the poem then I'm going to do the explanation."
"Alright boys." Miss Jordan nodded.
All I could do was stand there and shake.
"Mason." Carter looked at me.
I opened my mouth but nothing came out.
"Mason breathe." Miss Jordan said from her desk.
And I tried, I really tried.
"Helen, thy beauty is to me." I heard come from the class infront of me.
"Olivia?" Miss Jordan gave her a look.
"Like those Nicean barks of yore." Olivia pursed her lips
"That gently, o'er a perfumed sea." I said with a shaky voice. "The weary, way worn wanderer bore. To his own native shore."
I cleared my throat and just looked at Olivia. She nodded and smiled.
I was still shaking, but I started to slowly relax.
"On desperate seas long wont to roam, thy hyacinth hair, thy classic face." I read off the paper with my hands still shaking. "Thy naiad airs have brought me home to the glory that was Greece, and that grandeur that was Rome."
I looked back up at Liv, she nodded again.
I took a deep breath. "Lo! in yon brilliant window niche, how statue like I see thee stand, the agate lamp withing thy hand! Ah, Psyche from the regions which. Are Holy-Land."
"Compared to previous years. Well done Mason." Miss Jordan smiled.
"Can I sit down please." I stood there shaking, horrifed.
"Yes, you may. Thank you Olivia."
Olivia gave a small smile and nodded.
"Carter you can continue with your evaluation." Miss Jordan brought me over a chair to sit in.
I just sat there shaking as Carter finished our presentation.
"Very well done boys." Miss Jordan nodded. "A." She smiled.
"Thank you." Carter smiled.
"Can I go back to my seat now." I sat there still shaking.
"Yes, you can. I'm very proud of you." She smiled.
"Thank you." I stood up and basically ran to my seat. "Oh my god kill me." I sighed and put my head on my desk.
"You did great." Sienna nodded.
"Olivia had to say the first two lines." I shook my head.
"But you did the rest." Olivia smiled.
And then Saunders turned around and let out a little laugh.
"Oh shut up Cameron." We heard from across the room. "He did fine."
"Thanks Carter." I sighed.
He nodded and turned toward the front of the class.
"Oh my god Carter Pruitt just defended me." I buried my face in Olivia's shoulder. She sighed and threw her arm around me.
"He's still not over this public speaking thing?" I heard Sienna say.
"No!" I whined.
"Dude, you spit game to numerous girls at once." Sienna shook her head.
A few more presentations went by.
"Next, Cameron and Olivia." Miss Jordan said from the front of the room.
I sighed and sat up as they made their way to the front.
"We chose a different style of poem." Cameron nodded.
"It's actually a slam poem by Rudy Francisco called Scars/To The New Boyfriend. We're going to take turns reading the verses, and then give our individual evaluations of what we took from it." Olivia pursed her lips.
"Alright." Miss Jordan nodded.
"One. If I could, I would nail these hands to the edges of stars. I would sacrifice this body to the sky, hoping to resurrected someone spiteful enough to not care about you anymore." She looked over at him.
"Two. Staple me to a cross. Pierce my side with a broken promise, and I will bleed all the crippled reasons why you deserve one more chance." He pursed his lips.
"Three. Loving you is the last thing that I felt really good at." She glanced down.
"Four. You wanna know how I got these scars? See I ripped every last piece of you out of my smile." He cleared his throat.
"Five. I whispered you stardust." She nodded.
"Six. I spoke you into sunflowers." He let out a small smile
"Seven. I dipped my hands in forever. I touched you infinity. Treated you as if you were the last molecule of oxygen inside of a gas chamber. I was good to you." She crossed her arms.
"Eight. You wanna know how I got these scars? See I swallowed my pride, and then it clawed its way out of my mouth." He pursed his lips.
"Nine. I realized that I was never really your boyfriend. I was just your f*****g hype-man." She looked at him.
"Ten. I hope your next boyfriend gets smallpox." He shrugged.
"Ten. Yes I said smallpox." Olivia nodded.
"Ten. I hate you." He shook his head.
"Ten. But I still miss you." She sighed.
"Ten. And a part of me still loves you." He looked at her.
And then I felt my jaw clench.
"Ten. It's hard for me to count when I get emotional." She shook her head.
"Ten. I heard that over ninety percent of human interaction is non-verbal so." Cameron folded his hands.
Then they both paused.
"Ten. If I could, I would tie your arms to a daydream and then auction you off to my fondest memories." Olivia nodded.
"To the random dude who started dating my ex-girlfriend two days after we broke up -yes, I saw that s**t on f*******:. Now when I realized that you were in a relationship with the girl that I thought I would someday spend the rest of my life with, I walked outside, I said to myself--"There is no way Ashton Kutcher is gonna catch me off guard." I waited 45 minutes. And then I realized that there hasn't been a new episode of Punk'd in damn near four years. So I guess I'm the only practical joke in this entire situation." He shook his head.
"One. The first time I saw you and her in a picture I wanted to take my entire arm, shove it inside of the computer and snatch the happiness right off of your face." Olivia pursed her lips,
"Two. If I ever see you in the street, I'm probably gonna punch you in the throat." Cameron glared at me.
"Three. I apologize in advance. And I know, I know that it makes no sense to have this much anger towards a man that I've never actually met face-to-face. But, my definition of love is being robbed in an alley eight times in a row and hoping there is something about today that makes all of this different. There is nothing logical about cutting off the most important parts of yourself and then putting them inside of hands that shake, that tremble, that crack like a Haitian sidewalk." Olivia let out a small breath and shook her head.
"Four. There is nothing rational about love. Your love stutters when it gets nervous, your love trips over its own shoelaces. Love is clumsy, and my heart refuses to wear a helmet." He sighed.
"Five. Cupid is f*****g irresponsible and I'm tired of him using me for target practice." Olivia crossed her arms and looked at Cameron.
"Six. I was told that time would heal all wounds. But what exactly do you do on days when it feels like the hands on your clock have arthritis?" He looked over at Olivia.
"Seven. She always wore her heart on her sleeve. So tell me then, why the hell do you look so familiar?" Olivia shook her head.
"Eight. I think I've seen you somewhere in her smile, like I've heard your voice in her laughter, like I've smelled your cologne her thighs. I bet if we dusted her heart for fingerprints we would only find yours." Cameron glanced toward me.
"Nine. I have this envelope, it's full of all the butterflies I felt the first time she relaxed the Velcro on her lips and smiled in my direction. I think most of them are still alive. I guess these belong to you too." Olivia pursed her lips.
"Now, what I took from that, is that in the first part, Scars, is about their bad break-up. He shows that he's still working through his feelings of anger, but at the same time, he can't help but love her and miss her." He looked over at Olivia. "And that in the second part, To the New Boyfriend, he's going over how he feels that she's moving on, and how he should've seen the signs that the new boyfriend had been around all along, or at least he thought he was." He looked back to the class, and subtly looked at me.
I scrunched my face and shook my head.
"In all honesty, it was powerful. I could feel the hurt, and the anger he was feeling as I read it. It says how little she appreciated him while he held her on the highest pedestal that he could reach. It shows that he wasn't necessarily angry or hurt about the new boyfriend, but about what she had put him through and she still went to another man. So, I think it's about him letting go of the denial that she had moved on." She looked over at Cameron and crossed her arms. "Because you know, some people need to let it go."
Sienna and I choke back some laughs.
"Well, that was." Miss Jordan looked at them. "Different? But, very entertaining, and very well presented. A." She smiled. "But, I'm pretty positive this is the one and only time I'm making you two partners." She nodded.
"Oh thank god." Olivia shook her head and came to sit down.
Miss Jordan's phone started ringing.
"Class I will be right back." She stood up and walked out of the room.
"You could act a little less happy Olivia." Cam turned around and shook his head.
"Honey you got wrecked by a 14 year old yesterday, turn around." Sienna laughed.
"b***h shut up for once in your life." He rolled his eyes.
"You call her a b***h again, I'm gonna show you a b***h. I suggest if you want to keep your eyes in your head you not roll them again and turn around." I nodded.
"Dude, you can't even read a poem in front of a class. Shut up you cry baby ass bitch." He crossed his arms.
Then Olivia nodded and stood up.
"Liv." I sat straight up as she walked in front of her desk.
And this woman slapped this kid so hard, he went flying out of the chair.
She knelt down and held his face. "You want to keep calling my friends bitches, you just got b***h slapped by The b***h you don't want any more problems with." She stood up and sat back down.
Miss Jordan walked back in. "What happened?" She shook her head.
"He fell out of his chair." The whole class laughed.
I glanced over at Olivia and just smirked.
I think it's pretty safe to say that Cameron is no longer a problem.
*Olivia's POV*
I had just gotten home when Oaken yelled for me in the living room.
"What?" I asked as I walked down the hall.
"Check em out." He smiled and held up his new hockey skates.
"Yo!" I yelled and grabbed them from him. "These are dope." I looked up at him.
"Right." He nodded.
"Good choice." I nodded.
"And we wanted to wait til you got here to give him something." Mason nodded.
"Huh?" Oaken gave him a look.
Connor walked out to the kitchen and grabbed something from beside the doorway.
"This, is for you." He pulled out a hockey stick with a big bow on it and tossed it to him.
"What!" He said wideyed and caught it.
"You guys got him a hockey stick?" My mom smiled.
"We did." Mason pursed his lips.
"Why does my wallet hurt?" My dad shook his head.
"We used our own money this time." Connor nodded.
"Why did you guys do this?" Oaken shook his head.
"We got Liv her pointe shoes. So we wanted to get you something. That right there is a Bauer Supreme S2, with a team grip, and a 77 flex." Connor smiled.
"How did you-"
Mason cut him off. "We went against our better judgment and asked Will what he reccommended." He glanced over at me and let out a soft smile.
I pursed my lips and smiled.
"You guys didn't have to do this." Oaken shook his head.
"We wanted too. We support you Oak." Connor nodded. "Now that is a beautiful stick. Don't make it look bad." He smirked.
Oaken smiled. "Thank you guys." He nodded.
"Anytime buddy. Cant wait to you use it." Mason nodded.
"Oh, Will's number." Oaken pointed at me.
I sighed and sent him his number.
"Ol, do you have a fictional history book somewhere?" Mason pursed his lips.
"I'm sure I do." I nodded. "And if you be a good little boy and carry my dance bag upstairs, I'll let you borrow it." I shrugged.
He looked over at my mom and dad. "You're gonna let her use me like this?"
"Nothing is free Mason." My dad shrugged.
"Besides our love." My mom smiled.
"That's not free either." He let out a small laugh and shook his head.
"Bag for book." I smiled.
"Alright." He sighed.
Now I could have very easily just brought him a book down, but, I wanted to talk to him. So, I took advantage.
He grabbed my bag, and followed me up the stairs.
"Is this what I signed up for? Carrying your s**t around." He laughed as I closed the door.
I turned around, wrapped my arms around his neck, and kissed him.
A long dragged out, hell of a kiss. One of those kisses where a guy puts his hands on your lower back to pull you closer, and you run your fingers through the back of his hair.
And after maybe a minute, I pulled away.
He kept his eyes closed and pursed his lips. "What was that for?" He asked as he opened his eyes.
"You bought Oaken a hockey stick." I let out a small smile.
He nodded. "I know."
"That was so sweet of you and Connor." I nodded.
"So I just have to be sweet to get kissed like that?" He raised his eyebrows.
I sighed. "No." I shook my head. "You, can have kisses like that whenever you want." I pursed my lips.
"And why is that?" He let out a small smile.
"Mason." I looked down.
"Am I finally going to hear the words?" He smirked?
I bit my bottom lip and looked up at him. "I like you, ok?"
"Finally." His smile grew. "And I'm gonna find some way to show you how serious I am, ok?"
"Ok." I smiled and nodded.
"Are we done with the scared face?" He pursed his lips.
I took a deep breath. "I'll try."
"Alright." He nodded. "And unless you want me biting it next, stop biting your lip." He smirked.
I nodded and walked over to my bookshelf.
I grabbed a book, walked back over, and handed it to him. "Historical fiction."
"This is a f*****g dictionary Liv." He grabbed it and shook his head.
"No." I shook my head. "It is about the JFK assasination, and an english teacher who has to go back in time to prevent it. I know it inside and out, I've read it 4 times, so, if you need help, I can help."
"Or you can write my paper for me?" He smiled.
"Not a chance." I scrunched my face.
He sighed and gave me a kiss. "Fine. I will see you tomorrow."
I nodded. "Goodnight."
"Goodnight." He nodded and walked out of my room.
I sighed and flopped back on my bed.
And shortly after, I passed out.
