“I got the job!” Naomi was still giddy, and she tapped her steering wheel again, fighting the urge to bounce up and down as she drove, thinking over the unbelievable turn of events. She’d managed to pull off a miracle of epic proportions, landing an undercover job without having any experience or even the first clue as to what she was walking into. Silence seemed to stretch on the other end of the phone. “Are you still there?” She was staring at the Bluetooth of her dash to see whether she’d lost her cell connection.
