EPILOGU He stayed when I was confused. He protected me without controlling me. He gave me space when I needed it. He waited for me to choose him. And when I finally did... He never made me regret it. Years later, I still remembered the girl I had once been. The girl who laughed at Adam. The girl who thought he wasn't good enough. The girl who believed Ethan was her perfect love. I wished I could go back and tell her something. "You're looking in the wrong direction." Because love isn't about appearances. It isn't about money. It isn't about popularity. It isn't about having the person everyone else wants. Sometimes, love is simply about the person who stays. The person who sees your flaws and still chooses you. The person who remembers you even after years have passed. The person who doesn't demand your love... but patiently waits for it. And sometimes... your biggest mistake can become the greatest love of your life. One evening, I sat beside my husband. Adam was reading something on his phone. I looked at him and smiled. He noticed. "What?" I shook my head. "Nothing." "You're staring." "I was just thinking." "About what?" I smiled. "You know, I still can't believe you're the same Adam from school." He laughed. "And I still can't believe you once told me you'd never love me." I laughed. "I was wrong." He raised an eyebrow. "Very wrong." I pushed his shoulder. "Don't remind me." He pulled me closer. "I'll remind you forever." I rested my head against his shoulder. For a moment, neither of us spoke. Then I whispered, "Thank you." He looked at me. "For what?" "For waiting." Adam smiled. "I'd wait all over again." My eyes filled with tears. I held his hand. And as I looked into his eyes, I realized something. The greatest love stories don't always begin perfectly. Sometimes they begin with rejection. Sometimes they begin with misunderstanding. Sometimes they begin with two people who don't realize how important they are to each other. But if two hearts are meant to find their way back to each other... they will. No matter how many years pass. No matter how much people change. No matter how complicated life becomes. Some people are simply meant to meet. And sometimes... the person you once rejected... becomes the person you can never imagine living without. I smiled at my husband. Adam kissed my forehead. I closed my eyes. And for the first time in my life... I knew I had finally found the person I was meant to love. The End. ❤️
